Unfortunately, due to the threat of inclement weather, our Fall Food Drive scheduled for Saturday, 11/9/2024, has been cancelled.

Dr. Jo Ann Hensel is excited to announce that as of May 7, 2024, she will relocate her practice and begin seeing her patients at Eye Centers' Plaza 10 location off of I-10 next to Chili's.

If you have an appointment with Dr. Hensel on or after May 7th, the office staff will be calling to inform you of this change in location, as well as give you an updated appointment date and/or time if necessary.

Dr. Hamill is a Beverly Hills-trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon specializing in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the eye and face. He visits once a week to our Beaumont office.

Dr. Hamill specializes in the restoration of vision lost due to corneal or anterior segment diseases or conditions. He visits our Beaumont office once a month.

Dr. Hoang joined Eye Centers in 2012 and has diligently served the eye care needs of Southeast Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 and then received his training and Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008 from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Hoang is the clinical director of our dry eye clinic emphasizing in the treatment of dry eyes, blepharitis, and meibomian gland dysfunction. Utilizing the latest technology and diagnostic testing in ocular surface disease, he customizes a specific treatment plan for each individual patient. These treatments include amniotic membrane grafts, high-definition meibography, autologous serum tears, blepharo-exfoliation, and thermal pulsation treatment.
In addition to specializing in dry eye disease, Dr. Hoang also provides comprehensive medical eye care management of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and primary general care. He is also available to manage our ophthalmic emergencies such as ocular injuries, traumas, and eye infections.
Outside of clinic, Peter enjoys all forms of working out, trying new sushi restaurants, and traveling with his wife.

𝓙𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓷 𝓖𝓪𝓷𝓭𝔂, 𝓞.𝓓.
Dr. Gandy joined Eye Centers in 2020. He was raised in Northwest Louisiana where he graduated from LSU- Shreveport. He enlisted in the Louisiana National guard in 2001 as a medic and served one tour in Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. He then went on to receive his optometry training at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where he met is wife. After optometry school he spent six years practicing in Laredo, TX. Dr. Gandy is bilingual, and provides comprehensive management of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eye and infections. Dr. Gandy is also available for emergency care.
Dr. Gandy enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids and dogs when he is not in clinic. He is also a rabid LSU football fan and loves to cook

Welcome our newest Ophthalmologist to Eye Centers!

𝓢𝓮𝓮𝓶𝓪 𝓖 𝓚𝓪𝓷𝓼𝓪𝓻𝓪, 𝓜.𝓓.

Dr. Kansara is a board certified general ophthalmologist who was raised in Beaumont, TX, where she attended St. Anne’s Catholic School. She then went on to complete high school and college in a combined program at Lamar University. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry summa cm laude from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, on a full scholarship, at the age of 20. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School with research distinction and completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas at Houston. She has several publications within glaucoma, biochemistry, and cardiology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her clinical interests include: cataracts, eyelid surgeries, glaucoma, medical retina, dry eye, and cosmetic injections such as botox and fillers. She provides thorough comprehensive eye exams and surgical evaluations.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and exercising. Dr. Kansara believes in providing exceptional, innovative care while treating her patients like her family and friends. She is excited to be back in the area and is accepting new patients!

Dr. Meaux is a native of Kaplan, LA. He graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School, then went on to get his Bachelors of Science in Biology along with minors in Chemistry and Psychology at the University of Louisiana. He received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 2012 where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at LSU/Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans. He was given the opportunity to work at the VA hospital in New Orleans, providing medical and surgical eye care to many Veterans. He is board-certified and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. While offered jobs in large metropolitan areas such as Miami, Dallas and Houston, Dr. Meaux felt most at home in Beaumont, Texas, as the culture most closely represented his hometown.

Dr. Meaux provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care using the latest technological advances available. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetic retinopathy, Macular degeneration, Dry eyes, Pterygium, Eyelid lesions, among others. He also performs LASIK, PRK, MIGS and manages ophthalmic emergencies including ocular injuries and eye infections. Dr. Meaux has provided surgical eye care to patients with varying needs ranging from former NFL athletes to pilots.
