š Support the Next Chapter of Starting Line! š
Hi everyone,
Iām Christine Guevara, an occupational therapist and educator at Beaumont High School, where I teach in the Medical Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway.
Four years ago, I founded the Starting Line Strength and Stability Center ā a student-led, non-profit exercise program dedicated to helping individuals in our community living with neurological conditions such as Parkinsonās Disease, stroke, and brain injury. The program gives participants a safe space to regain strength, balance, and confidence, while giving our high school medical students invaluable hands-on experience in compassionate care.
This year, we are transitioning Starting Line into an official Beaumont High School club, so that students can take on leadership roles, expand community outreach, and make the program sustainable for years to come. However, as we transition, we still need support to cover the essential costs that allow us to keep our doors open.
Our goal is to raise $4,000 by Thanksgiving (November 27, 2025) to cover these essential costs and ensure Starting Line continues to thrive as a student-led community service program.
Your donation will directly support:
- Keeping our exercise sessions running for participants with neurological challenges
- Training and certifying student volunteers
- Providing adaptive equipment and supplies
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us move forward in building a stronger, more inclusive community. š
Please consider donating and sharing our GoFundMe to help us continue changing lives through movement, connection, and compassion.
