Your body has a way of letting you know when something is not quite right. While occasional changes can be normal, some symptoms deserve a conversation with your OB/GYN, especially if they are persistent or worsening.

Symptoms you should not ignore include:

✔ Pelvic pain or pressure that does not go away

✔ Heavy or irregular bleeding between periods

✔ Periods that are consistently very painful or disruptive

✔ Pain during in*******se

✔ Unusual vaginal discharge or odor

✔ Bladder leaks, urgency, or difficulty emptying your bladder

✔ A feeling of fullness or heaviness in the pelvis

If a symptom is affecting your comfort, daily routine, or peace of mind, it is worth being evaluated. You know your body best, and speaking up early can often lead to simpler treatment options.

It’s Cervical Health Awareness Month, so there’s no better time to clear up a few common Pap smear myths. 💙
Now let’s talk about the truth 👇

Fact: Most Pap smears cause only mild discomfort, if any. The entire test takes just a few minutes.

Fact: Depending on your age and health history, you may not need one every single year, but regular screenings are still important. Your provider will help determine the right schedule.

Fact: Pap smears typically start at age 21, regardless of sexual activity. Early screening helps catch changes before they become serious.

Not sure when you're due for your next exam? We can help.
