This morning, we had the opportunity to present our new Metamorphosis: A Year to Strive and Thrive Award to our October recipient!

Spindletop Center is proud to announce the newest recipient of the Metamorphosis: A Year to Strive and Thrive Award is Karin Solano!

Karin is a Customer Service Representative here at Spindletop Center.

"Karin has always been the backbone of our program. Kind, dependable, patient, and reliable, she is always willing to help in any way she can. Karin goes above and beyond to support the direct service providers. She doesn’t realize how important she is to the ECI family and how much the team depends on her."

Thank you to all our staff that helped put this annual event on, and thank you to Dr. Joshua Rollins of Beaumont Bone and Joint, DJ Mark Fiorenza, Beaumont Masonic Lodge 286, and Dr. Nikki Moore for their time and charitable donation contributions to support this event.

This year’s event was one of the best we’ve put together. Already looking forward to the next one!

Halloween is this week! Here are some tips to make sure your child is safe this spooky season per the Texas Department of State Health Services:

• Wear reflective tape
• Use glow sticks
• Carry a flashlight
• Cross the street at well-lit corners
• Pay attention to your surroundings and make sure your children are clearly visible to oncoming traffic

💚 Mental Health Matters in Orange County!

Thanks to a generous grant from Dow Sabine River Operations , Spindletop Center has successfully trained more than 120+ individuals in Mental Health First Aid USA across Orange County this year! 🙌

At the heart of this initiative is our dedicated coordinator, Jeremy, whose passion for mental wellness and community outreach is making a real difference. Under Jeremy’s leadership, our program is equipping everyday people with the tools to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges and crises.

We’re proud to partner with incredible organizations like Orangefield Independent School District and Lamar State College Orange Nursing Students, who are helping us spread awareness and build a more supportive, informed community.

Mental Health First Aid saves lives — and together, we’re creating a safer, healthier Orange County. 💙
