Your voice is critical to improving access to effective, timely, and high-quality mental health and substance use services.

The Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council is conducting a Statewide Mental Health and Substance Use Service Needs Assessment to better understand community needs, service gaps, workforce challenges, and opportunities to improve mental health and substance use services across Texas.

The survey only takes 5-8 minutes and responses are kept private and only reported together as a group.

This morning, we had the opportunity to present our new Metamorphosis: A Year to Strive and Thrive Award to our January recipient!

Spindletop Center is proud to announce the newest recipient of the Metamorphosis: A Year to Strive and Thrive Award is Josh Denton!

Josh is a Program Coordinator here at Spindletop Center.

"Josh goes above and beyond every day. Any time I message him, I get a well thought-out and helpful response, no matter what my quesiton is. He is the MVP of our Crisis team here at Spindletop Center."

A big thank you to Eliza Comedian Positive Vibes for coming out to our North Campus and teaching some of our clients in IDD services how to line dance! Everyone had a great time learning new steps and enjoying the music.

Our clients had a blast, being named Honorary Judges for the day and even got to sit on the bench!

Peer support is the process of giving encouragement or assistance to overcome a challenge in life by someone with lived experience. Peer workers can be people who experience the challenges themselves, or family members with loved ones who experienced such challenges and use their lived experience to guide others through the process of change.

This morning, Spindletop Center peers came together to enjoy an early Valentine’s Day breakfast celebration. The event was a wonderful opportunity to share a meal, connect with one another, and spread a little Valentine’s cheer to start the day on a positive and uplifting note. ❤️
