A big thank you to Brandi with 3 Oaks Hospice for coming out and doing tie-dye T-shirts with our residents today. It was such a hit! Our residents had an amazing time getting creative and making their own colorful shirts.

Last month at Focused Care at Summer Place, we celebrated Black History Month in a way that was both meaningful and beautiful.

We gathered together to reflect on the strength, resilience, brilliance, and impact of so many great African Americans who paved the way and shaped history. From leaders and innovators to artists and everyday heroes, their roles in our story can never be forgotten.

We enjoyed good food, engaging trivia, and powerful conversations that reminded us just how far we’ve come — and how important it is to continue honoring the journey. Listening to the “I Have a Dream” speech was especially moving. Even today, those words still speak life, hope, and vision into all of us.

It was more than just a celebration — it was a moment of reflection, unity, and pride. 🤎

So grateful to be part of a place that takes the time to remember, educate, and celebrate the legacy of Black excellence. ✊🏾✨

🎪✨ Yesterday we celebrated National Carnival Day at Focus Care at Summer Place! ✨🎪

What a joyful day it was as we transformed our home into a lively carnival experience for our residents! Laughter filled the air while everyone enjoyed delicious treats like popcorn 🍿, hot dogs 🌭, chips, refreshing Cokes, and lots of sweet candy.

The fun didn’t stop there — our residents were thrilled by a surprise visit from a clown 🤡 who brought smiles, laughs, and playful moments to brighten the day. From exciting games and friendly competition to music, dancing, and great fellowship, the festivities created memories we’ll all cherish.

Seeing our residents engaged, laughing, and simply enjoying the moment reminded us how special these celebrations truly are. ❤️

Shoutout to our amazing staff for making the day festive and fun and to our wonderful residents for bringing the joy that made Carnival Day unforgettable! 🎟️🎉
