Gov. Tony Evers today announced seven agencies across the state will receive more than $750,000 in grant funding through the Recovery Voucher Program to provide access to affordable, safe, and stable housing in recovery residences for individuals and their families who are experiencing homelessness and have been diagnosed with opioid use disorder (OUD).

The state of Wisconsin is using $2 million of opioid settlement dollars to fund the Recovery Voucher (RV) grant program.  This was born out of the recognition that individuals who have safe, stable and supportive housing while in recovery often have better outcomes.  Through this program, clients...

Due to lack of funding and volunteers, the decision was made to close the C.A.R.E. office and dissolve the 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

We have had quite the amazing journey the last few years! Meet so many awesome individuals and have helped many individuals and families in our communities. We couldn’t have done this without all the amazing and caring individuals that became Board Members, Recovery Coaches, Peer to Peer Support Specialists, volunteers, group facilitators, donors, and the overwhelming support of our community!

We started C.A.R.E. for Dodge Co., Inc. (Community Awareness and Recovery Environment) due to the lack of resources in Dodge Co. to help those affected with Substance Use Disorder and their loved ones. We wanted to bridge the gap between Substance Use Disorder and recovery by helping those struggling find their pathway to recovery.

We want to thank everyone that has supported our mission of “Empowering Families Choosing a Life of Recovery” and been a part of our journey the last few years, we will miss you! 💜💜

We feel we have accomplished our mission and Dodge County now has a Drug Court and resources for those in need of assistance finding their road to recovery. In addition, some of our groups will continue at a new location (see below for details).
