Now that our childcare program is open and operating, we are loving witnessing precious moments like these. Giving kids the environment and individualized support they need to thrive has been so rewarding. Our entire staff is loving having more kids in the building! Our program provides tons of access to speech, language, reading, one on one play, and all of the best toys and activities to help with their development! Hooray for progress! We finally got our playground put together and it looks amazing! We can't wait to see this being enjoyed by children.

We are just under two weeks away from opening our childcare center! We are so excited and working hard everyday to finalize all of the details so we are ready to welcome children and families!

Openings and enrollment are still available! We welcome you to give us a call to schedule a tour or ask questions. You can submit an inquiry through the link on our website. You can learn more about our program and goals through our Parent Guide.

The classrooms, program and all of the big and tiny details have been fostered with a focus on children who are Deaf/hard of Hearing, ages 0-5 years. We paid close attention to maximizing and designing our center around their needs in order to support early learning, development and exploration through play and discovery.

We are thrilled to announce our childcare center is officially opening on Monday, June 2, 2025! soundSTART has been working for years to open a childcare program dedicated to children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, ages 0-5 years. Our program is designed specifically to support early learning, development and exploration through play and discovery. We are proud to feature brand new classrooms, on-site audiologist and staff with years of childcare experience. Visit our website to learn more, book a tour, and add your child to our waitlist!

We created these 54 icons to represent the staff at soundSTART, our favorite things, and the work we do as a pediatric audiology clinic in the PNW. This also includes "A" thru "F" in sign language, the many plants we keep in the office, and the cans of Dr. Pepper that keep our audiologist Dr. Shelby going. Which one is your favorite?

We wrapped a huge project right at the end of 2024. As many of you know, we've leased the space next door to our Beaverton office for years. It has been sitting as what it once was - a dusty salon space. We worked with the incredible team at Cedar and Stone Construction to renovate the unit into something more beautiful and modern.

The final details just finished right around the holidays in 2024. Be sure to peek in the windows and take a look around! We think it looks amazing! We are slowly figuring out what the function of the new space will be and can't wait to buy new furniture and materials.

We work really hard as a small team of 7 (soon to be 8!) to operate soundSTART and serve our patients. We are ready to grow and looking forward to finding more rock stars to join our team to allow us to offer more services and events. We are so proud to finally have more space to grow and have it looking spectacular!

We will continue renovations to our space to prepare for more people to join our team and fulfill our long term goal of opening a childcare option dedicated to children with hearing loss. Someday! Soon! Stay tuned!
