Our Next Water Grand Trine is almost here
The Sun in Scorpio will be activating the next chapter of the Water Grand Trine on the 16th and 17th with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces.

The Grand Trine will be on the 25th degree of the water signs and only be less than 4 hours apart from the Sun/Jupiter trine and Sun/Saturn trine. This is a VERY close to exact Grand Trine, therefore very rare as well.

When does the Grand Trine happen?
Nov 15 - 18, 2025 within 1 degree of the Grand Trine
Exact Trines in the larger Grand Trine:
Nov 16 (9:07 pm PST) - 25°06’ Sco/Cancer Sun-Jupiter Trine
Nov 17 (12:55 am PST- 25°15’ Sco/Pisces Sun-Saturn Trine

These trines and the larger Grand Trine pattern that has been active since October when Mars and Mercury began the initiation. This is a shorter period of what the much larger and longer period of Jupiter an Saturn are doing as a pattern.

Saturn and Jupiter played a very big role in helping to set the table for humanity back in 2020 when they came close together during the year (with Pluto) and finally conjuncting on December 21, 2020 at 00°29’ Aquarius.

All that went down in 2020 and early 2021 reached a "quarter-turn" in 2024-25 when Saturn and Jupiter squared 3 times. But those planets have now reached the early stage of the trine period, which will continue in August, 2026 when Saturn in Aries trines Jupiter in Leo (their first of 3 exact trines for the period of 2025-27).

This month, Jupiter stationed retrograde on Nov 11 at 25°09’ Cancer while Saturn will station direct on Nov 27 at 25°09’ Pisces. This is another very rare alignment with station points occuring at the same degree and minute 16 days apart. There is definitely a strong message being sent.

The stuff that occured in 2020 into 2021 seeded what is happening now, especially in the Dec 2020 / Jan 2021 period. This is a point now through July 2027 (in combination with the other big transits of Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius and Chiron in Aries/Ta**us) where the flow of what is happening could be at its strongest. This means there is more opportunities for things to work out together in this polarized climate before the 2029-31 period of the Jupiter-Saturn oppositions take place. However, I don't forecast this will be easy due to the other planetary aspects taking place.

Boiled down, this is a chance to come into a greater refinement of our roles currently or become more open to another role we've been putting off for various reasons. Where in life can we contribute the most? WIll it feel fulfilling? How can we keep building upon what we have already seeded?

Mercury will trine Jupiter and Saturn a second time on November 21-22 and a 3rd time Dec 6-7. That means there is more time to work with this watery flow currently in motion.

Mars disappears into the Underworld Nov 13, 2025
A day after its second conjunction with Mercury in as many months, Mars get within 15 degrees of the Sun, therefore becoming too dim to see with the unaided eye. In shamanic astrology, this means Mars is entering the "underworld" of the planet's synodic cycle.

Mars officially hits that 15 degree mark when it reaches 06˚42’ Sagittarius on the 13th It will still be possible to see it in the twilight of the early evening, but a person would need to be in near-perfect sky conditions to witness Mars descending to the underworld.

The star Antares in the Scorpion constellation will be nearby at 10˚07’ Sagittarius, less than 4 degrees from Mars. Antares will be barely visible and is certainly significantly brighter than Mars at this stage of Mars' transit in the sky. The Scorpion constellation is a guardian at the roots of the World Tree and Galactic Center. Antares is the heart of the Scorpion.

As Mars enters the glare of the Sun (underworld), it enters Phase 3 of the synodic cycle. This is a phase that can be 3-4 months long and symbolizes the death/rebirth of the masculine principle within humanity. This means that the secrets that are buried have a better chance of rising to the surface. And in the sign of Sagittarius, this means the pursuit of truth and meaning takes on a higher level of importance.

Mars will transit through the rest of Sagittarius, go into Capricorn and Aquarius, ingress into Pisces, then finally rise in the early morning sky on March 16, 2026 at 11˚07’ Pisces.

This whole period (especially supported by Venus in the underworld between Nov 25 - Feb 17) is a perfect time to do deeper investigations and come clean with truth and other revelations.

2nd Mercury-Mars Conjunction Nov 12, 2025
Mercury and Mars conjunct for the second time in 2 months. The first conjunction took place in the sign of Scorpio and this conjunction takes place on Nov 12 at 06˚04’ Sagittarius.

Due to Mars' orbital timing and Mercury's retrograde pattern, we are in a time where there is 3 Mercury-Mars conjunctions in a 4 month period. There is typically only 1 conjunction every year between Mars and Mercury. The first conjunction took place on Oct 19th in Scorpio and the last one on January 17, 2026, in Capricorn.

This conjunction in the sign of Sagittarius will help us open up new territory from the revelations drawn out from the previous transits in Scorpio. This will help us take action through intuitive experiences to bring greater meaning and truth in our lives.

This is also the only conjunction where Mercury is retrograde. This means there is a "introspective" quality to this conjunction and because it is in the sign of Sagittarius, it is not quite as intense as the first one last month.

However, we are still talking about a potent signal being lit about our future and in taking action where needed to uncover new pathways.

This overall pattern of 3 conjunctions in 3 different astrological signs shows an unfoldment from the depth, power and acutely felt conjunction in Scorpio to Sagittarius (described above) and to seeding the wisdom and knowledge of our ancestors to grow something long-lasting in through Capricorn (January).

I believe all of this is showing us a new "proving ground". That is an influencer to what comes later in the year with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in February AND a set of 2 MORE conjunctions between Mars and Mercury in March and April of 2026, which inolves Saturn too.

Jupiter stations Retrograde Nov 11, 2025 / Saturn-Jupiter Trine
2 days after Mercury stations retrograde, Jupiter joins Mercury in retrograde motion on 11/11 at 25°09’ Cancer.

Jupiter has been cruising through the sign of Cancer since June 9th. This transit through Cancer has expanded the definition of Cancer and family to beyond the core of blood family. There is definitely a rise a greater compassion for humanity and how we are one family.

But at the same time, this transit can expand the tribal/nationalistic beliefs in some people, creating more challenges, arguments that can lead to racial, tribal and nationalistic zeal.

This has led to and will continue to lead to conflicts in the world and within various nations. But Jupiter's reminder that all humanity is 1 family hasn't fully dropped in to all of us and some large factions within society are resisting the expansion.

For November, Jupiter's station point is an arrow pointing to Saturn, which is currently retrograding in Pisces. The 2 planets are in a trine throughout this month and in December. Saturn and Jupiter reached their final of 3 squares back in June.

This trine won't be exact, but they will be within 1 degree through Dec 5, 2025. Their exact trine happens 3 times in August of 2026, April 2027 and July 2027 (Jupiter will be in Leo and Saturn in Aries.

Saturn will station direct on 11/27 at the same degree and minute of Jupiter stationing retrograde, but obviously in the water sign of Pisces. This is meaningful shows the importance of this trine period through 2027. The trine is a way for the power of the 2024-25 Jupiter-Saturn squares to flow in more expansive growth. There will be a culmination of this all of this between 2029-31 when Jupiter and Saturn move into a long opposition period (5 exact times).

Mercury is Retrograde Nov 9, 2025
3 or 4 times a year, Mercury stations retrograde as part of its normal transits throughout a given year. This 3rd retrograde in 2025 takes place at 6° 51’ Sagittarius and will weave its way back into Scorpio during the retrograde timeframe.

Mercury's retrograde period at this stage is still emphasizing the qualities of the Sagittarius mind, perceptions and communication expressions. The Sagittarius mind is intuitive, fiery, free-flowing, optimistic and philosophical in its expressions.

Sagittarius doesn’t really commit, other than its pursuit to discover new truths and meanings in the world. Sagittarius is a torch-bearer and herald of the zodiac. It welcomes new trails and other routes less taken.

In the retrograde mode, this Sagittarius energy will be more reflective and introspective but still on the lookout for new trails to traverse. It's also to go back over the trails already taken to see what new ones may be available in the future.

In any Mercury retrograde, it is important to communicate more clearly with others , be it in electronic mediums or in person. This is due to the energetic expression of Mercury retorgrade "resetting" itself through its apparent backwards movement across the sky.

The fact that we are currently in a more chaotic zone overall for humanity places additional pressure upon effective communications and making sure the person you are communicating with is understanding the message. Since we also rely very heavily on technology for our communications, its important to exercise more caution when making assumptions.

Mercury will stay retrograde until Nov 29 at 20° 42’ Scorpio. There will be a Mercury-Mars conjunction on Nov 12, a Mercury-Uranus oppostion on Nov 19 and a Mercury-Sun conjunction on Nov 20 during this retrograde period.

Uranus back in Ta**us on Nov 7, 2025
Uranus’ retrograde back into the sign of Ta**us for over 5 months shares with us a check in to our relationship with our material and other physical pleasures, comforts and conveniences that populate our existence.

The journey of Uranus in Ta**us has provide some powerful breakthroughs in convenience and our pleasures but has also been disruptive at times, showing us both healthy and unhealthy reflections of our addiction to material wealth and security.

This time of Uranus in Ta**us is a reflection of what we want in our lives and how we may do it differently in the future. We can ask ourselves how the physical realm of our immediate reality can support our journey there but also spiritually as well. Is it too comfortable for us? Does our reality repress our motivation to show up for our soul's intent / life purpose?

We can look back upon the time Uranus has been in the sign of Ta**us since it transitioned into it in 2018. Many breakthroughs have happened technologically in relation to humanity's conveniences, pleasures and comforts. We can access and obtain almost any material thing from the comfort of our couch (if we have the resources to do it). But at what price has that come with?

Uranus is a planet that teaches us to adapt to the unforeseen, typically with events/experiences beyond our control. As Uranus will ingress back into the sign of Gemini on April 25, 2026, this period of 5 months can be a closure of what we can do to bring greater balance in our lives with our comforts and pleasures.

Today is the closest Full Moon to Earth, typically called a perigee Moon or a Super Full Moon. It takes place at 13°22’ Ta**us.

The Ta**us energy embodies the pleasures, comforts and abundance of the physical realm, engaging our primary senses to what feels good.

The cloeness of this Full Moon to Earth, the Moon it will appear to be extra bright.
No artificial lights are needed when walking under a Full Moon such as this.
It is also a time of magic, a liminal space when are closer to the veil between worlds. Shadows cast by the Moon, help to create liminal space in the physical and metaphysical.

Consider Bathing under the Moon's light to absorb more lunar energy.

Mars in Sagittarius Nov 4, 2025
Mars finishes up in the sign of Scorpio on Nov 4, ingressing into the sign of Sagittarius. Mars in Sagittarius opens up new vistas in the deep and beyond the horizon as well as pathways for the masculine within us all.

Mars in Sagittarius is about the action humanity takes to explore new frontiers, desire for greater meaning and truth and leap ahead to whatever adventure awaits without and within. It’s primarily going to be a journey within as the events related to this transit will tend to catalyze inner work in discovering our own personal and collective truth.

Mars is VERY low on the WSW horizon and barely visible. It disappears from view entirely on Nov 13 due to the glare of the Sun. This is the last bit of Phase 2 of the synodic cycle of Mars, which is a preparation stage for the symbolic underworld that starts with Mars' disappearance from naked eye visibility.

But if people get a chance to see it, it is entering the constellation of the Scorpion and will be near the stars of the head and claws of that cosmic creature. The Scorpion is the protector of the roots of the World/Cosmic Tree. The constellation contains the astrological energy of intense transformational processes, healing reminding us the importance of a healthy integration of things we repress/bury deep within our unconscious.

Mars will stay in the sign of Sagittarius until December 14, entering the sign of Capricorn, where the Sun will be at the next solstice.

November Astrology Forecast is here!
In November 2025, Scorpio and Sagittarius highlight the alchemical astrology of this month. Mars, Mercury and Venus are all in Scorpio and Sagittarius. Both Venus and Mars dip into the Underworld (in the glare of the Sun) and Mercury is retorgrade from Nov 9-29 starting is Sag and ending at 20 degrees Scorpio.

Uranus backs into the sign of Ta**us on the 7th while Jupiter stations retrograde on the 11th. Saturn also changes directions, going direct on the 27th. A second and third grand water trine unfolds in the second half of November, so be prepared for that in concert with Mercury retorgrade.

The Illusion of Power / More about the Grand Trine
The Water Grand Trine, currently in progress now at this first phase of it until November 4, involves Mars in Scorpio, Saturn/Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer. One of the layers of this Water Grand Trine involves the "illusion of power".

Mars in Scorpio can embolden those that feel it as a way to project power and control in the world. But as Mars has begun to trine Saturn this week and Neptune in 4 days, this power may be limited, repressed and potentially with Neptune be under the guise of something real and yet it can fizzle or Disolve away. It also reflects Mars' tendency to be reckless at times.

I read a report about the current president of the US ordering the restart of testing nuclear weapons would certainly fall into this area. It's also important to include Pluto, which is still in a sextile/trine pattern with Neptune/Saturn and Uranus.

But I find the timing of this announcement interesting since the sign of Scorpio tends to deal with power, be it within itself or the exertion of power over the environment and at times, people, especially when it is coming from an unhealthy place within a person.

Pluto's role is more to do with the generation/development of energy sources. Pluto in Aquarius speaks more to the detachment of the mind from the organic processes of our use of power AND a potential revolutionary/innovative use of energy sources and their shadow and fears that could be triggered.

We can add Jupiter's (in Cancer) role in this as expanding the current "dialogue" or interplay between the other planets in the Water Grand Trine. So it can seem bigger and in the sign of Cancer, can take on a nationalistic approach. But Jupiter in Cancer in its higher expression is about going beyond the traditional nationalistic/tribalistic philosophy in more of a global family perspective.

Lastly, I'll point out the the testing and race to acquaire and subsequent use of nuclear bombs took place while Pluto was in the 4-10 degree range of Leo (1941-45). in 2026, Pluto begin will reach the opposition point of that time period and finish up in Jan, 2031.

We can ask ourselves do we really have power here both personally and collectively? We must reconcile our relationship with power from within and its illusion of "feeling powerful" in this capitalistic and materialistic civilization. And it starts by recognizing that we naturally don't like to feel powerless. That recognition can lead further into knowing ourselves more deeply and perhaps start a path toward wholeness.
