Touchmark on West Prospect recently celebrated a meaningful milestone—25 years of community, connection, and vibrant living in Appleton.

Residents, families, and team members came together to honor the people and moments that have shaped this special place over the years. The celebration included a ribbon cutting with the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, a presentation by Touchmark CEO Marcus Breuer, and a uniquely Wisconsin touch—a beautifully crafted cheese carving featuring the Touchmark logo and locally inspired designs.

Since opening in 2001, Touchmark on West Prospect has continued to grow alongside the community, creating a place where older adults can truly thrive. As Executive Director Stephanie Buchanan shared, it’s the relationships that make this community so special—where people feel known, valued, and connected every day.

We loved seeing Central Oregon Wolves presenter Ander Rhoads featured by Central Oregon Daily! 🐺

Ander’s passion for wolves, wildlife research, and education is truly inspiring, and we were honored to welcome him to Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village to share his knowledge with our community. From wolf tracking in the Metolius Basin to learning alongside renowned biologist Rick McIntyre in Yellowstone, his story is a remarkable reminder that curiosity and dedication can make a real impact.

Thank you, Ander, for helping us better understand and appreciate the incredible wildlife of Central Oregon.

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month—a time to recognize the millions of individuals and families navigating Parkinson’s disease and to highlight the importance of understanding, support, and compassionate care.

At Touchmark, we support those living with Parkinson’s through a variety of programs and services. Our communities offer Parkinson’s-focused exercise classes to support strength, balance, and mobility, along with support groups for individuals and their loved ones, social opportunities, and wellness resources. Touchmark team members also receive training to better understand Parkinson’s and its impact on daily life, helping ensure residents and families feel supported throughout the community experience.

Through education, thoughtful care, and a strong sense of community, we are committed to helping residents continue living full, engaged lives. This month—and every month—we stand with those affected by Parkinson’s and celebrate the resilience and determination they bring to our communities.

The Nistler family traveled to Texas recently for the Austin Marathon—and made a special stop at Touchmark’s newest community, Touchmark at Georgetown, where they welcomed residents and team members to the Touchmark family.

The night before the race, Touchmark Founder Werner G. Nistler, Jr. and his family gathered for the second photo. From left to right: Molly, Ryan, Max (all finishing the half marathon), Theo, Maggie (half marathon), Jennifer Miller, Diana (full marathon), Louise, Elliott and Emily (both half marathon), Colleen, and Werner. If you saw a Touchmark logo fly past you in a blur—there’s a good chance it was a Nistler!

The trip was a meaningful reminder of the values Werner built Touchmark on—family, hard work, and living life to its fullest at every age.

Congratulations to everyone who raced, and thank you to the Nistler family for bringing your energy, heart, and spirit to Georgetown.

Last night's third-annual Veterans Ball was a night to remember. Residents, families, and community guests gathered to honor those who’ve served—complete with cocktails, jazz, and heartfelt reflections from veterans like LeRoy Frahm, who shared, “We not only want to recognize those veterans, we want to recognize their families, who are under the strain and sacrifice, especially when they are deployed and gone from their home.”

To every veteran and their loved ones: thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service. We also thank WBAY TV-2 for covering this meaningful event.
