Have you been told everything looks normal, but something still doesn't feel right?

In some cases, abdominal discomfort may be related to how organs and surrounding tissues move, not just what shows up on imaging. Visceral manipulation focuses on supporting mobility within these structures to help the body function more comfortably.

If you're still searching for answers, this may be an approach to consider.

Have you ever been told that everything looks “normal,” but you're still in pain?

This can be a frustrating place to be. Imaging doesn't always explain how the body is functioning or where restrictions may still exist.

If this sounds familiar, a different approach may be worth exploring.
Dr. Pleau focuses on identifying underlying mechanical causes that may contribute to ongoing discomfort.

What if the source of your pain is not where you feel it?

Dr. Pleau uses a hands-on evaluation process called “listening” to detect subtle restrictions in the body. By identifying where tissues have lost mobility, care can focus on the root cause, not just the symptoms.

When those restrictions are addressed, the body often no longer needs to compensate in ways that create irritation or discomfort.

Mobility is a key part of how the body stays healthy.

When tissues lose their ability to glide and move, the body begins to compensate. Over time, those restrictions can affect communication, movement, and overall function.

Through visceral manipulation, the focus is on identifying where these deeper connective tissue restrictions exist and restoring mobility where it has been lost.

When mobility improves, the body often moves and functions more efficiently.

Sometimes pain is not coming from the place that hurts.

The body often changes how it moves to protect deeper structures like nerves, arteries, or internal organs. When that happens, symptoms such as shoulder pain, knee pain, or neck pain may persist even when those areas are treated directly.

In some cases, relief begins by identifying and releasing the deeper restriction the body is guarding.

Understanding how the body protects itself can change how we approach chronic pain.

Chronic pain from old injuries often has layers beneath the surface.

Over time, scar tissue can form around muscles, connective tissue, and nerves. These restrictions may limit mobility and create ongoing tension in the area.

Through visceral manipulation and precise manual therapy, the goal is to gently work with those restrictions. By improving tissue mobility and reducing tension around sensitive nerve fibers, the body can move more freely.

Movement improves. Tension decreases. Function begins to return.

Chiropractic care is not just about adjusting where it hurts.

Dr. William Pleau’s mission is to understand how the body functions as an integrated system. Every evaluation is guided by careful listening, precise palpation, and attention to how different structures relate to one another.

The goal is not force. It is specificity.

Not chasing symptoms, but identifying underlying restrictions that may be influencing movement and comfort.

Care is individualized, hands on, and grounded in the belief that the body is interconnected and capable of change when given the right input.

Sometimes pain is not coming from where you think it is.

A patient once came in with acute back pain and was struggling just to stand and walk across the room. During the evaluation, the focus shifted away from the spine and toward the abdomen.

Through slow, precise palpation, attention was drawn to restriction along the ureter. With careful, specific manual contact, the surrounding tension eased and the body was able to continue its natural process. His back discomfort reduced significantly afterward.

The body is interconnected. Evaluation matters. Precision matters. Listening with your hands matters.
