🌟 Meet Katie! 🌟

Katie is one of our amazing Speech Language Pathologists here at Little Peas! Katie completed her education at Purdue University and Michigan State University. Originally from Wisconsin, her spirit for adventure brought her to the Pacific Northwest. She has always enjoyed working with children and families, equipping them with the tools for success in the therapy setting and beyond. 💪✨

When she’s not at the clinic, you might find Katie teaching/judging baton twirling events 🎀 or out cycling with friends 🚴‍♀️.

We’re so lucky to have her on the Little Peas team! 💚

🌟 Meet Marissa! 🌟
Marissa is one of our amazing Speech Language Pathologists here at Little Peas! She loves working with clients of all ages and has a special focus on articulation, fluency, and feeding. 💬🍴

Originally from California, Marissa graduated from California Baptist University and recently made the move to Oregon in August 2024. When she’s not helping kids grow their skills and confidence, you can find her reading, baking, hiking, playing games, or spending time with her cat, Saki! 🐾📚🍰

Our therapists recently participated in a Lunch N Learn put on by Meredith, one of our amazing Speech Language Pathologists, who shared her knowledge about Gestalt Language Processing—an approach that helps us understand and support children who develop language through “chunks” or scripts rather than single words.

Welcome to Little Peas Speech Therapy

Little Peas Speech Therapy is a Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy clinic located in Beaverton, Oregon. We are dedicated to providing effective and compassionate therapy services to children and their families. We first complete comprehensive evaluations in order to identify delays and deficits. We then create a therapy plan with individualized and functional goals. ​

We believe that parents and caregivers are an integral part of the speech therapy process. Each therapy plan includes education and training so families can facilitate progress towards goals at home beyond the therapy session.

We specialize in the assessment and treatment of articulation/speech sound disorders, "late talking toddlers", early language development (birth to 5 years), stuttering, apraxia of speech, social communication/pragmatics, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and elementary/middle school age language development (5 to 14 years). We also offer consultations and speech & language screenings for child care settings, preschools, and private schools in Beaverton and NW Portland.

Our Mission: To provide effective, family-centered speech therapy services to children, in order to help them grow, achieve functional goals and expand their communication skills.
