As we gather today, we’re reminded that the heart of The Springs Living isn’t a building, it’s the everyday moments people share inside it. A friendly hello in the hallway, a beautifully prepared meal, a quiet moment of gratitude. Thank you for being part of the story we get to live every day. We’re grateful for the older adults who call our communities home, the families who trust us, and the team members who bring warmth to it every day. The Springs Living has the extraordinary honor of serving dozens, if not hundreds, of veterans who now live in our communities. So we are always thrilled when Veterans Day comes around, as it gives us the opportunity to celebrate these remarkable residents.

One way we honor the veterans who live in our communities is through a partnership with Dream Flights, a nonprofit that gives veterans rides in a World War II-era Stearman biplane. In this video, Dean Clark, a 100-year-old World War II veteran and resident of The Springs at Happy Valley, shares how a recent flight fulfilled a lifelong dream, as it was the plane his brother used to train other pilots during the war.

Thank you to all veterans for your resilience and courage. May we never forget and always be grateful for your sacrifice.

We are happy to share that we are now part of The Springs Living.

Like Hearthstone, The Springs Living was created by a family that desired to find a place that felt like home and was rooted in relationships and quality. The strong connection of culture and values will mean continuity of service for residents as well as stability for our team.

We are grateful to the Friesen family for building a legacy of care and service for residents and families, and we look forward to continuing to provide that heartfelt service as The Springs at Murrayhill.

Exciting News for Our Community!

On November 1, Hearthstone at Murrayhill will officially become part of The Springs Living family. As of that date, we’ll be known as The Springs at Murrayhill, joining a company that shares our heart for connection, community, and quality care.

​While our name and ownership are changing, the spirit of this place remains the same. The warmth, the friendships, and the feeling of home you know and love will continue. You’ll just notice a few updates here on our page, like a new name and logo, but you don’t need to do a thing to stay connected.

​Going forward, you’ll find updates, photos, and stories from the same vibrant community, now as The Springs at Murrayhill.

A small group of us recently dropped by the Pittock Mansion, taking in the stunning Portland skyline and wandering the beautiful grounds. We didn’t have time for an official tour this visit—but we’ll admit, we couldn’t resist sneaking a little peek through the windows!

Cannon Beach, you never disappoint! 🌊
Our annual trip was filled with everything we love about the Oregon coast—stunning views, salty breezes, and the chance to feel completely refreshed. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the always-classic Mo’s, then headed back home with windblown hair, sandy shoes, and happy hearts.

What a spectacular day at Swan Island Dahlias! 🌸
We couldn’t have asked for more glorious weather—blue skies, warm sunshine, and a dazzling display of blooms.

The farm is truly a dahlia paradise, and our residents loved exploring the vibrant fields and soaking up all the beauty.
