My Approach to Helping

I have been working with children, adolescents, and their families for almost 20 years. As a parent myself, I'm very familiar with the growing pains of growing families with growing children. Each new day can be a new adventure, whether we want it to be or not. I can assist you and your child(ren) and offer support as you navigate through the ups and downs of family life and parenting. I have extensive experience working with early childhood social-emotional development (birth to age 5). This includes the ability and eagerness to provide coaching/consulting in your home or at your child's child care center or other setting. I also have extensive experience working with school-aged children who struggle socially and academically due to ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, trauma history, family conflicts, etc. I believe it's 'easier to build a child than to repair an adult.' Building a resilient child begins at birth. Fostering resilience in your children through effective parenting is a gift they will always have, and will pass down to their own children some day. More Info About My Practice

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Children don't come with instruction manuals. Navigating through the different stages of your child's life can be exciting and rewarding, but can also leave your feeling drained, overwhelmed, and unsure about what to do next. I can coach you on effective parenting strategies that will help you become the parent you want to be. My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

He will be missed. ❤️

From the Eric Carle Team: It is with heavy hearts that we share that Eric Carle, author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other beloved classics, passed away on Sunday, May 23rd at the age of 91.

When asked why he thinks The Very Hungry Caterpillar has remained popular for so long, Carle said, “I think it is a book of hope. Children need hope. You, little insignificant caterpillar can grow up into a beautiful butterfly and fly into the world with your talent.”

Thank you, Eric Carle for sharing your great talent with so many generations of young readers.

What will an average day of Comprehensive Distance Learning look like at the elementary level?

Per guidance from the Oregon Department of Education, K-5 students can expect 60 to 120 minutes of synchronous or asynchronous interaction with their classroom teacher along with two hours or more of at-home work, supported by a parent, guardian or learning coach. All classrooms grades K-3 will be utilizing Seesaw and 4-5 classrooms will be utilizing either Canvas or Seesaw.

How much time are parents expected to schedule to help their children with Comprehensive Distance Learning?

Depending on the grade and age of the child, parents should be available to support learning for the full 60 to 120 minutes. There could be additional time needed, depending on your child and the work assigned.
