Spring cleanup season is here—and so is back pain.

Every year we see a spike in injuries from:
🌿 Mulching
🍂 Raking
🪨 Lifting bags/soil

The biggest mistakes?

❌ Twisting while lifting
❌ Trying to do everything in one day
❌ Jumping in without warming up

✅ Simple fixes:
– Bend through your hips and knees
– Keep what you’re lifting close to your body
– Take breaks (your body isn’t in “summer shape” yet)
– Do a quick warm-up before you start

A little preparation now can save you weeks of pain later.

📍Wellbridge Physical Therapy is here to help you stay active and pain-free this spring

At Wellbridge Physical Therapy, we believe recovery should be hands-on, personalized, and effective.

In this video, we’re combining manual therapy, cupping, and topical muscle support to help reduce calf tension, improve mobility, and sp*ed up recovery.

This is why we do more than just watch exercises. Our goal is to treat the root cause of pain and give patients the tools they need to feel and move better long-term.

We love using Pain Free in 603 in the clinic because it was developed by physical therapy professionals who understand the demands of real recovery.

If tight calves, muscle soreness, or recurring injuries are holding you back, we can help you get back to what you love — stronger and pain free.

At Wellbridge, we’re always looking for ways to better support our pregnancy and postpartum patients.

Our PT aide Taylor recently tested our new pregnancy massage table adapter before starting maternity leave and gave it a thumbs up 👍. This allows our pregnant patients to lie comfortably and safely face down during treatment, which can help reduce low back, pelvic, and hip pain while making hands-on care even more effective.

✨ First Night of Hanukkah ✨

Tonight we light the first candle of Hanukkah—a symbol that even in difficult moments, light and resilience endure. In the wake of recent events at Bondi Beach and Brown University this message feels especially important. Moments like these remind us how vital community, compassion, and standing strong together truly are.

At Wellbridge Physical Therapy, we see this same resilience every day. Healing doesn’t happen all at once—it happens through steady effort, support, and showing up, even when things feel challenging. Small steps forward, like small lights, can create meaningful change.

From our Wellbridge family to yours, we wish everyone celebrating a Happy Hanukkah—may this season bring strength, unity, and brighter days ahead. 🕎 CommunityStrong Resilience StandTogether BondiBeach WellbridgePhysicalTherapy HealingInMotion PhysicalTherapy StrongerTogether

“Do you p*e your pants?”
Let’s figure out what kind of pants-p*eing we’re dealing with.
(Yes, there are types. Welcome to pelvic floor school. 😌). 1️⃣ Stress Incontinence

This is the “my bladder betrayed me when I laughed too hard” type.
It usually happens with:
🤣 Laughing
🤧 Sneezing
🏃‍♀️ Jumping
🏋️‍♀️ Working out
😮‍💨 Sudden movement

Basically, any time pressure hits your pelvic floor and your muscles are like,
“Uhhh, we didn’t rehearse for this.”

This one is all about muscle control + coordination — not just “weakness.” 2️⃣ Urge Incontinence

This is the “run to the bathroom like it’s the Olympics” type.
You might:
🏃‍♀️ Sprint to the toilet
😬 Leak on the way
🚽 P*e the second your pants come down
💦 Get triggered by running water
🗝️ Experience “key-in-the-door” syndrome:
Congratulations, you’ve made it home. Your bladder has decided to quit.

This one is more about behavior + bladder-brain communication, not strength. 3️⃣ Mixed Incontinence

The “fun combo pack” — symptoms of both.
Pressure issues and urgency issues.
(We love an overachiever. Your bladder does not.)

This just means we treat everything: muscle control + bladder behavior. You’re not alone, you’re not gross, and you’re definitely not stuck with it.
Pelvic floor PT helps you fix the right problem — with science, skill and zero judgment. 💛

Please stop feeling bad for getting the healthcare you need.

Women apologize constantly in healthcare.
“I don’t want to bother anyone.”
“I feel silly coming in for this.”
“I thought it was normal.”
“I didn’t want to waste your time.”

Let me say this clearly:
✨ You are not a burden.
✨ Your symptoms matter.
✨ You deserve care without guilt, shame, or hesitation.

Your pelvic health, your pain, your recovery, your questions —
ALL of it is valid.

So if you’re waiting for permission to prioritize yourself…
Here it is.

Get the care you need. Ask the questions. Take up space.
Your health is worth it — every single time. 💛
