When visiting Thaxton Baptist Church, we noticed they had an angel tree up for our residents! The Bedford community cares about our residents and we could not be more thankful. Thank you to TBC and all the organizations who have reached out to make our residents’ holidays so joyful!

Our original contracted crew did not work out, but we are excited to move forward and find the right team to help us before December 5th!🎄🎅🏼

Traditions mean a lot to us here at Spring Oak Bedford, and Christmas time at The National Elks home is filled with it. 🎄

We partnered with Bedford Get Together this year to help restore the Christmas lights for this season and for years to come. We’ve had dozens of volunteers put in countless hours of work, and time is counting down until we unveil the Christmas lights!

We hope you can join us on December 5th at 5:30 to kick off the Christmas tradition of the lights at the National Elks Home. We will have hot cocoa, Carolers from Little Town Players, and I heard Santa himself is going to make an appearance!

We had some awesome Halloween costumes today! Our leadership team dressed up as spice girls and their chefs, while our housekeeping team (and others) rocked it out as minions! Happy Halloween from our community🎃

We had a smashing Halloween party for the residents yesterday! We would love to recognize Samantha, our Activities Director, for all the hard work she put into this event. The residents enjoyed and array of snacks, games, costumes, and karaoke! Happy Halloween from our friendly community. 👻🎃

Spring Oak at Bedford residents in the news! 🥳🎉

We loved celebrating Ada’s 100th birthday — and so did our friends at WSET-TV! Ada has been a beloved volunteer at the Bedford Area Welcome Center for over 20 years, and it was such a joy to see her recognized by the community she’s given so much to!

✨Spring Oak Girls Try Bedford Businesses Part Two✨

To continue our series where we support and review local Bedford businesses to encourage collaboration within the community, the Spring Oak girls tried out Fajita Grill + Tacos !

We tried the shrimp chimichanga and the arroz con pollo. The service was very speedy, which is perfect when in need of a quick lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Thank you Fajita Grill for having us!

Where should we go next? The Bedford Welcome Center and BVA Mercantile are on our list!
