☕ Coffee, Conversation & Cozy Vibes ☕

Even though it was a gloomy day, our residents brightened it right up with a trip to Starbucks this past Monday! 🌥️

Coffee and good company truly fix everything. Residents enjoyed getting out for a bit, chatting together, and sipping on their favorite warm drinks. From coffee to tea and everything in between, it was the perfect cozy outing. 🤎

Sometimes it’s the simple moments — a warm drink, laughter, and time together — that make the day extra special.

Happy High Five Friday! 🖐️

This week we are celebrating a very special member of the Bowman family, Jim. At 93, Jim continues to inspire those around him with his positivity, passions, and zest for life.

Jim met the love of his life, DeLores, while working at The Kraft Heinz Company, and together they raised two daughters, Lynn and Mary. Over the years, they lived in seven different states, creating a lifetime of memories centered around family, music, and meaningful experiences.

Here at Bowman, Jim shares his love of music through his “Grounded in Sound” program, where residents explore artists, listen to songs, and share their own favorites. He truly believes in the power of music, often saying it helps keep the mind strong and the spirit lifted.

“Music and butterflies — those two things keep me very happy.”

From participating in yoga and walking club to cultivating a monarch butterfly sanctuary on our grounds, Jim continues to make a lasting impact on our community every single day. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Bowman family, Jim!

🍀 A Lucky Outing to The Holy Grail 🍀

This past Friday, residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to The Holy Grail — a unique Irish pub set inside a beautifully converted church! ⛪✨

From the delicious Irish pub fare to the charming décor filled with touches of Ireland and historic character, it was truly a special experience. Most importantly, residents enjoyed great food, great conversation, and time spent together out in the community. 💚

Outings like these create meaningful moments and lasting memories — and this one was definitely a favorite!

🎶 Throwback Tunes & Smiling Faces 🎶

Yesterday we were treated to a wonderful afternoon of music with Mark Stanzler’s “A Tribute to the 50’s and 60’s!” 🎤✨

Residents sang along, tapped their toes, and enjoyed the nostalgia of some timeless favorites. Music has such a special way of bringing back memories and creating joyful moments — and this performance did just that! 💃🕺

What a wonderful Saturday at Bowman! 💜

We were delighted to welcome the talented dancers from Martin School of Dance for a special performance right in our dining room. The girls wowed us with their beautiful routines and even demonstrated some basic dance moves — including leaps and sashay steps — that had everyone smiling!

After the performance, the fun continued as the dancers joined our residents for bracelet-making. It was such a sweet opportunity for connection, creativity, and lots of laughter across generations.

Thank you to Martin School of Dance for bringing so much joy to our community — it truly made for a fantastic Saturday at Bowman! ✨

Happy High Five Friday! 🖐️

This week we are shining the spotlight on Rose, who grew up in a large, loving family as the first daughter among ten children. She later married her neighborhood sweetheart, raised two daughters and a son, and built a career working her way from bookkeeper to head of human resources.

Rose has called Bowman home for about a month, and from the moment she arrived, she felt the warmth of the community. She was greeted with a “Welcome, Rose” sign on her door, handwritten cards, and friendly faces who already knew her name.

“My very first day,” Rose shares when asked about her favorite memory. “Everywhere I went, people said, ‘Hi Rose, how are you?’ From the very first day, I felt very welcomed.”

We are so happy to have you as part of our Bowman Family, Rose!

Our residents enjoyed an early taste of spring during a visit to the Butterfly Place! 🦋🌸 With the warm, tropical atmosphere, it felt like stepping into another season.

It was so peaceful watching the butterflies flutter all around, listening to the gentle waterfall, spotting the quails and koi fish, and taking in the beautiful lush flowers and plants. A relaxing and refreshing outing for everyone! 💐✨

Baking Club is always a sweet time! 🧁 Every other month, we’re joined by our special guests, Housekeepers Fahra and Melissa, who lead a wonderful baking club on Longview. We also love having our SNHU Students join in on the baking club!

This past month, residents made cake cupcake cones — a fun and festive treat! Of course, the best part of Baking Club is enjoying our delicious creations, although the laughs and fun we share while making them are just as special. 🍰💛
