The largest PBMs today exercise significant power over what drugs are available, at what price, and what pharmacies that patients can use to access their prescribed medications – all with very little accountability or transparency,” said Congressman Bishop during his remarks at the event.

The bipartisan Pharmacists Fight Back Bills that we have introduced will provide fair and predictable reimbursement for pharmacies and fight drug pricing manipulation by providing market-based index pricing. These bills will prevent the PBMs from steering patients towards PBM-owned pharmacies, allowing patients to use the pharmacists of their choice and expanding access to prescription drug care.

With the high cost of prescription drugs, it is important that when we can get savings, these are shared with patients and providers, not just pocketed by the middlemen. These bills do that by reforming PBM rebate practices. Finally, these bills have teeth, and they include robust enforcement mechanisms to ensure that the PBMs comply.

Day 79 of posting Buddy every day until his humans find him 🧡🍁

Buddy is ready for his first Thanksgiving in a Forever Home! Last Thanksgiving, Buddy was chained up outside — that was his whole world. Every single day. But everything changed when we rescued him in December. Now, this sweet boy is learning what it means to be loved, safe, and part of a family.

We’re hoping and praying that this Thanksgiving, Buddy will finally be celebrating in his forever home. Could that be with you?

🐕 About Buddy:
• 4 years old, about 60 lbs
• Handsome, possibly a Husky mix (but 100% sweetheart!)
• Lived outside all his life until rescue — now learning what it means to be an indoor dog
• Doing great with house and crate training (still needs some patience in a new home)
• Loves running and playing outdoors — freedom is his favorite thing
• Seems to do well with dogs who do well with him (meet & greet required), but we can not say for certain because he does not understand dogs’ social cues due to not being properly socialized. He would take time and patience to integrate into a home with another dog.
• Not recommended for small children due to size and inexperience
• Curious about cats — will chase but not harm them
• Doing well on leash and learning “sit”
• Excellent at the vet — fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and completed Lyme treatment

🐾 Buddy’s perfect home:
Someone patient, kind, and ready to keep showing him how wonderful life can be. Someone who will love him for all his days.
