Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Marine Corps!
VA Bedford joined Marines across the nation in honoring 250 years of service, sacrifice, and Semper Fidelis spirit. Staff and Veterans gathered for a small but meaningful cake-cutting ceremony recognizing the proud traditions of the Corps.
Thank you to all Marines—past and present—for 250 years of courage, honor, and commitment.

Have you encountered a Nurse and/or Nursing Assistant that went above and beyond to provide the care you needed? You can nominate an exceptional Nursing Assistant or extraordinary Nurse for the DAISY or BEE award by describing how they've provided exceptional care.

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Foundation was established by the family of Patrick Barnes to recognize Nurses who provide compassionate and excellent care. The BEE Award recognizes Nursing Assistants who provide excellent care. BEE stands for "Being Exceptional Every Day."
Commonly seen nomination criteria include (but not limited to):
🌼Demonstrated compassion, kindness, and excellence.
🐝Made a significant difference in a patient's life.
🌼 Established a special connection with patients and families.
🐝 Kept the patient and their family at the center of care.
🌼 Exemplified the highest standards of professional care.

For the 2nd consecutive year, Women’s Health has hosted the annual Wear Pink Challenge and introduced the pink duck scavenger hunt—boosting morale while raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
🎀 Did you know? Military women are up to 40% more likely to develop breast cancer than civilians. VA offers early screenings, genetic counseling, and risk assessments under the SERVICE Act.
