VA Bedford HCS campus and clinics are open for in-person appointments. With snowfall totals ranged from 11 to 22 inches in all locations, snow removal efforts will continue throughout the week. To facilitate snow clearing, parking restrictions will be in effect which include the closure of Avenue D. Please follow directions from signs and VA staff directing traffic. Continue to use caution walking in parking lots and traversing stairs in and around our campus and clinic locations.

Join us in welcoming Mr. Barrett Franklin as the new Executive Director of VA Bedford Healthcare System. Franklin has been an integral part of the VISN 1 executive leadership team for over 10 years, previously serving as the VA Bedford interim Executive Director and VISN Deputy Network Director. In his new role, he will oversee healthcare delivery for over 19,000 Veterans residing in Bedford and surrounding areas.

Blizzard conditions are expected for Feb. 22 - 24, 2026. Snowfall rates of 2” per hour, over 50 mph wind gusts and low visibility will affect the Monday morning and evening commutes. VA Bedford HCS campus will remain open, with Monday appointments being converted to virtual care where appropriate. The Gloucester, Haverhill and Lynn clinics will be closed for in-person services. Appointments will be converted to virtual or rescheduled — affected Veterans are being contacted.
