Bringing awareness to colon cancer prevention is a cornerstone of my GI practice. This is one of the few cancers that screening can prevent. To remain at the forefront of patient care and policies that affect our practice, I have taken leadership roles that allow me to provide direction on what is best for our patient population in DFW. I currently hold two roles as the American College of Gastroenterology Governor for Northern Texas and a physician executive at the Digestive Health Associates of Texas. Recently, I was featured on the Healio platform, giving feedback on the United Healthcare Gold Card program for GI endoscopy and other testing. Insurance can be challenging for providers and patients, so I think it is important to participate in dialogue to help insurance companies create good programs for everyone involved.
