𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 💙
This year, my family witnessed firsthand that miracles are real and prayers are answered.
In October, my cousin's daughter and her baby boy Remi faced the unthinkable. An emergency that turned a joyful moment into a fight for two lives. Remi was born asleep. For 21 agonizing minutes, doctors worked to bring him back. Two cardiac arrests followed. Days of relentless seizures. Consultants preparing the family for the worst—telling them their precious boy likely wouldn't survive, that his brain had suffered too much.
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱. 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿.
They baptized him in the NICU, surrounded by machines and uncertainty, holding onto faith when there was nothing else to hold.
And then God answered.
Against every medical prediction, Remi opened his eyes. He moved his arms and legs. He took his first breaths on his own—like he'd been doing it all along. The MRI that was supposed to show devastating damage instead showed a brain that was mostly healthy and whole. Every doctor who said he would be brain dead was proven wrong by this little miracle.
On November 13th, after 22 days in the NICU, they finally came home.
This Thanksgiving, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for:
A God who hears our prayers and performs miracles
The faith that carried this family through their darkest valley
Guardian angels who gave Remi his angel kiss birthmark and sent him back to us
Every single person who prayed, hoped, and believed when it seemed impossible
The reminder that we serve a mighty God who specializes in the impossible
Remi's story isn't just about surviving—it's about the power of prayer, the strength of faith, and proof that hope is never wasted.
This Thanksgiving, I'm holding my family closer and thanking God for answered prayers. 💙
