There’s a powerful shift that happens when you stop internalizing blame for how you respond and start recognizing what led you there.

Psychological manipulation often sounds like, “You’re overreacting,” “You’re too sensitive,” or “You’re the problem.” But what’s really happening is a deflection from accountability.

Emotionally mature people don’t minimize your feelings. They don’t turn the focus onto your reaction to avoid responsibility. They pause, reflect, and take ownership for how their behavior impacted you.
