Your spine protects one of the most important systems in your body, your nervous system.
On Visit 0, this patient had significant forward head posture and loss of the natural cervical curve. When the head shifts forward, it increases stress on the spine and can place the nervous system in a more sympathetic (fight-or-flight) dominant state.
The sympathetic nervous system is designed for survival: short bursts of stress, alertness, and protection. But when the spine is under constant mechanical stress, the body can stay stuck in that state longer than it should.
After 12 visits of corrective chiropractic care, we’re already seeing improvement in alignment and restoration of the cervical curve.
Why does this matter?
When the spine is aligned and moving properly, it helps reduce stress on the nervous system and allows the body to shift toward the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state… the state where healing, recovery, digestion, and optimal function occur.
This is why chiropractic care isn’t just about pain relief.
It’s about restoring function to the nervous system so the body can do what it was designed to do: heal and adapt.
