"Your only option is a knee replacement."
One of our patients heard this from his orthopedic surgeon. He was 58, had significant knee degeneration on imaging, and had been dealing with daily pain for years.
He wasn't ready to accept that. So he came to us.
Here's what we found: the structural issue in his knee was real β but the primary driver of his pain wasn't the degeneration itself. It was the way his entire kinetic chain was loading the joint.
His hip flexors were chronically tight. His glutes weren't firing. His foot mechanics were placing abnormal torque on the knee every single step.
The degeneration on the MRI was the result β not the cause.
Over six weeks, we corrected the loading pattern, addressed the soft tissue restrictions, and incorporated targeted regenerative support.
He came back six weeks later. No surgery. Significantly less pain. Back to walking his dog every morning.
I'm not saying surgery is never necessary. Sometimes it is.
But if you've been told it's your only option without a full biomechanical assessment β you may not have the full picture yet.
