Eye fatigue when on screens for school, work, or leisure causes our eyes to work harder, which lead to strain, headaches, dry eyes, blurred vision, and discomfort.
You can take these steps to minimize digital eye fatigue ⬇️
•Take screen breaks {Every 15-20 minutes, look into the distance for at least 20 seconds}
•Reduce blue light + glare {Take advantage of new lens technology such as anti-fatigue, blue light protection coatings to help reduce the harmful impact, and use screen filters on screens like “night mode/comfort view}
•Blink more often {Screens make us blink less frequently, which can make the eyes feel more dry}
•Lighting is important {Avoid glare by moving your screens away from windows and using blinds/curtains}
•Stay hydrated {Helps tear production 💧}
•Regular Eye Exams {Your Optometrist can evaluate eye health, update needed prescriptions, and recommend great lens options to help minimize digital eye fatigue}
