Honestly

Just love me or leave me alone

I am just a traveler
On this crazy road called life
One hand wielding poetry
While the other holds a knife
I cut my soul to make my ink
I rip apart old scars
I delve into the darkness
And pull out all the stars
I scatter them like diamonds
In words I leave behind
The pages of my poetry
Poured from my broken mind
It's been a blessing all my life
And at times it's been a curse
Bringing cadence to the chaos
And putting it in words
But it's not something I just do
It doesn't work that way
It's ironic that there are no words
That ever could convey
What it's like inside my mind
When I put pen to paper
And perhaps it's best I can't explain
Sometimes I think it's safer.

First off, THANK YOU EVERYONE for your concern. I'm ok, just a little shaken up, but l'll be ok. For those of you who don't know what happened, I was robbed this morning at the gas station. I gathered myself together, my hands were still shaking, I was dizzy and I honestly think I was in shock. My money was gone. I called the police, they were fantastic and called for medical assistance as my blood pressure was through the roof. The police asked me if I knew who did it, and I told them "Yes, it was pump number 2.
