The Jude House successfully held their family retreat program, bringing together women and children in a supportive environment. Although the organization typically does not accommodate children, we quickly adapted to meet the needs of our residents. The program was implemented in collaboration with Melwood and Promise Landing farm, featuring a range of activities including psycho-education, experiential activities, and equine therapy. The addition of a nursery and playground allowed participants to learn, bond, and develop a deeper understanding of one another. Melwood Recreational Center Promise Landing Farm Inc

This day will be remembered. Representatives of The Jude House and other non-profits traveled to Annapolis to urge lawmakers to maintain funding for Rural Maryland Council grants and support other key bills. Our schedule included meetings with Senate and House legislators, attendance at a dynamic House session, and observation of the monks' peace walk procession. The event was thrilling, educational, and informative. With RMC’s assistance, we acquired new vehicles, expanding our transportation capabilities for job fairs, medical appointments, court dates, and more. The council’s support also enabled us to replace our old roof with a new one, greatly enhancing our center’s infrastructure.
