This small-group experience is designed to help you feel prepared, connected, and confident as you get ready to welcome your baby. Over six weeks, you’ll receive comprehensive childbirth education, along with added postpartum preparation and breastfeeding basics.

Check this out!! Doulas aren’t the whole puzzle, but we are an important piece. When families are supported, informed, and heard, it makes a real difference! We are a proven part of what helps moms and babies thrive, especially when support extends beyond birth.💗

2025 Community Impact Series 💗

Michigan reached its lowest recorded infant mortality rate in state history and MDHHS continues to focus efforts on keeping moms and babies healthy through the Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies initiative that was launched in 2021 to improve health outcomes and reduce disparities. It includes the expansion of postpartum Medicaid coverage to one year after birth and programs designed to assist families through pregnancy, birth and beyond, such as doula services and the Centering Pregnancy model of care.

My first birth of 2026 was a hard but incredibly special one. 🤍

My Flat River Doulas client made the brave and love-filled decision to give her miracle baby a chance after his trisomy 18 diagnosis, and this little boy is truly a fighter.

This strong mama labored for over 24 hours, and her sweet boy was welcomed into the world surrounded by so much love. He has a long road of recovery ahead, and mom and dad are asking for all the prayers they can get.

Please keep this precious boy in your thoughts and prayers, and lift up his mom, dad, and entire family as they navigate this journey together. 🤍✨

Some of our 2026 babies had other ideas and decided 2025 was their year, opening up space on our calendar. If you’re nearing the end of pregnancy and looking for support, it’s not too late. We have availability!

We’d love to meet you where you are.

We offer flexible payment options and accept most Medicaid plans so you can focus on your pregnancy, not the paperwork.

Last night we gathered together to celebrate the holiday season, reflect on the year behind us, and look ahead with intention for the one to come.

One of the most meaningful moments included candle-lighting. Each of us lit a candle and named a new way we hope to show up for our families in the coming year... honoring the growth we’ve experienced and the light we’re choosing to carry forward.

It was paired with this message from Hannah:
"Light as a doula isn’t about brightness or perfection. We each hold a different kind of light; sometimes it's gentle, sometimes it's fierce... grounding... joyful... warm... or just a steady presence... Often, it becomes the calm glow our families can look toward when everything feels intense or overwhelming. And when we come together, our collective glow becomes a source of strength for our whole community."

We're entering this holiday season and end of year feeling even more grateful for this team, this work, and goals we’re setting for this new year!

With the recent cuts to SNAP benefits, many families in our community are feeling the impact. We want to create a space here to support one another.

If you know of local food pantries, meal programs, community fridges, mutual aid groups, or other helpful resources, please share them in the comments below!

And if you’re in a position to give, whether that’s donating food, funds, or time, we encourage you to reach out to these local organizations. Every bit of support helps strengthen our community.

Together, we can help our neighbors find the nourishment and care they deserve.

We are so thankful for this!!

✨ Big news for birth support in Grand Rapids! ✨

After many years of advocacy, Butterworth Hospital is once again welcoming doulas into the OR to support clients during cesarean births starting in February 2026! 💛

We’re overjoyed that families will now have continuous doula support from labor, through surgery, and into recovery. Every birth deserves compassionate, familiar care, and this change means we can continue walking alongside our clients even when their journey takes a little side quest.

This is a huge win for birth equity, emotional safety, and the beautiful work of continuity of care. 💫
