So apparently 10/7 is a really good day for me. 1 year ago I made the leap to move to our new space and rebrand as our beloved Willow Collective. It was scary. It was hard. But it was SO worthwhile! We’ve met so many great people within this past year. We’ve learned. We’ve grown. We’ve taken it all in.

And now, I have the keys to the next endeavor! The Mon Valley area is lacking in wellness and self care facilities. That’s all about to change! I introduce to you Breathe On Broad, a true wellness flex space. While I’m not ready to disclose all the details, please know that we plan on bringing you the best classes with the best instructors. We would really appreciate it if you could hop on over to the Breathe On Broad business page, give us a like, and stay tuned for all the goodness that is coming your way!

Good morning everyone! Not sure about you folks, but last week felt like a whirlwind! So much goodness. So many awakenings on so many levels. I am currently out of town with my husband for a much needed mini vacation. I will be drinking a cup of coffee, relaxing and refueling my soul for what this new week brings. I hope you all do the same! I’ll be back in the office tomorrow and hope to have some good news for you all soon. Stay tuned!

Happy Fall Y’all! This is my favorite time of the year. It’s Mother Nature’s way of showing us that we have to shed some leaves (or people/situations) to become bigger, better versions of ourselves. Good morning everyone. September is coming to a close in a few days and we have A LOT going on here at our space for the month of October! We’ll start with the biggest first!

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. No one talks about this. It’s such a stigma and there’s so much victim blaming. People in these situations feel trapped and don’t see a way out. But there are ways to help and that’s where we come in!

One in three women and one in four men have experienced some type of domestic abuse from their partner. And the most alarming statistic I read while doing this research was that 140 women are killed by their domestic partner DAILY! And in speaking to victims, one thing resonates loud and clear. They don’t have help. And when they do decide to leave an abusive relationship, they are literally leaving with their babies and clothes on their backs.

I’ve put together a donation campaign to try and ease this traumatic time for these victims. The demand for toiletries, feminine products and clothes is great right now. Our amazing clients will hopefully ease this burden and help some local folks start their new chapter safe, healthy and clean.

We are looking for toiletries:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Body wash
Soap
Razors
Toothbrushes
Toothpastes
Mouthwash
Tampons
Sanitary pads

These are all such basic things that we take for granted until we don’t have access to them. For every item you bring in during the month of October, you will receive $1 off your massage with Rose. So…20 items is $20 off your service. And we will be capping it at $20 off. Please make sure all items are sealed/unopened! Donations will be distributed to local shelters who have the most need.

There is also a great need for clothes and shoes, particularly women’s and kids. All will be accepted though! Same thing with this…each clothing donation will be $1 off services with Rose. Please be generous! I have 64 people on my schedule so far for the month. If everyone brought in 20 items, that would be HUGE! These people really need our help and hopefully this post raises some awareness of how much of an epidemic this really is in our country.

Our estheticians are KILLING it with the Pumpkin Enzyme Facial! All organic and their folks have been leaving here GLOWING! To sweeten this deal a little, they’re offering a free nourishing pumpkin lip scrub with any facial booked in the month of October! Scheduling is easy! And last but not least, we have something really fun lined up for you! The North Belle Vernon businesses are putting together an Adult Truck or Treating event on Saturday October 25! This will coincide with the local parade and the kiddos’ trick or treating. We’re going to have a tarot reader (must sign up for a time!) and some adult apple cider…and maybe some other surprises too! I will post specific times once I get more details.
