💚National Family Caregivers Month is celebrated each November to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. Family caregivers are defined as family members or someone who is identified as “family” who provide assistance and support to an individual with a chronic health condition, including mental health and substance use conditions, disability, or functional limitation.

Mental Health America (MHA) had a "Guide for New Caregivers" that breaks down what new caregivers need to know about a loved one’s care, the rights and responsibilities as a caregiver, and how to manage both the emotional and practical sides of caregiving with compassion and confidence.

ADAMH Board Levy Results

Yesterday, voters in communities throughout Ohio showed their support for mental health and addiction services. Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Boards had thirteen out of fourteen levies pass. Congratulations to the Boards on their success! The chart below provides the levy details:

After last Saturday's evening event, we gratefully reflected on the bright beacon of safety our shared recovery community center now provides.

The long awaited building update has not only provided expanded ways to serve our county's recovery community inside but also now provides new life and light to outside the building.

We hope to provide a place of refuge, trust, safety and hope to those searching for or maintaining their recovery.

This place is here for our local recovery community. You have a safe place here.

If you are interested in having a recovery group or event here, please reach out, let us know what type of group or event you're interested in or want to start, and we will create space and support for additions of healthy recovery activities and allow utilization of our resources.

🍁💚We had so much warmth and fun at last Saturday's Fall Recovery event with 60 Recovering People and Families enjoying indoor and outdoor activities!

From Angie' s delicious homemade hot chocolate and pumpkin decorating inside to roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, for smores, outside.

Thank you all who attended. If you couldn't make it, we welcome you next year. We're thankful for a beautiful space for recovery fellowship and fun!
