📢 Public Service Announcement

Breast cancer can affect women of all ages — even adolescents. While it’s often thought of as a disease that impacts women age 40+, it’s important to remember that early awareness saves lives.

✨ Regular self-exams and recommended screenings are vital tools for early detection.
✨ Knowing your body and speaking up if something feels different can make all the difference.

🧐 We caught a suspicious lump in a breast of an adolescent patient, in which her primary care provider said she is too young to have breast cancer and that the lump is of no concern. Imaging says otherwise and the lump is suspicious for cancer. Now this adolescent individual and her family have to go through the next steps of a biopsy for something they thought and was told, was benign and of no concern. Please advocate for yourselves and your loved ones. When in doubt, ALWAYS get a second opinion!

We had our first respiratory lab come back and I'm so impressed with the thoroughness of the testing and all of the different bacterias and viruses it tests for and how sensitive the testing is!
