This morning, our team attended the United Way of Logan County, Ohio annual awards breakfast. We are extremely proud we reached Gold Donor status for the sixth year in a row! We love to see how Logan County comes together each year to support our community's philanthropic hub.

This year's awards were even more special for our team, as our very own Tammy Gump, VP of Community Health & Outreach, was honored with the first annual Community Impact Award for her countless hours of volunteer service and dedication to the United Way. Thank you, Tammy! Your commitment to the betterment of Logan County and caring for those around you continually inspires us.

In December, nursing team members held a successful Angel Closet clothing drive. Approximately 115 pieces of new clothing items were collected to be distributed to patients that may need them during their time at the Hospital for various reasons.

The nurses also received a few donations of gift cards for future purchases for the Angel Closet. One particularly generous donation came from Osgood State Bank in Russells Point, who donated $1,000 for the purchase of new clothing items, which will be especially helpful in the summer when cooler clothes are needed, as the Angel Closet is well-stocked with nice, warm winter clothes right now.

The December Angel Closet clothing drive stands as a testament to the caring spirit of our Mary Rutan Health Team, where compassion extends beyond medical care to meet all needs of every patient. Thank you to all our nurses that made this clothing drive a success and to all who donated to the Angel Closet!

Now that it seems like we've made it through the worst of what this weekend's snowstorm brought us, we think it's time to give a much-deserved shoutout to our Mary Rutan Health team who, under any circumstances, no matter how extreme, show up for our community when they're needed most. From our ER staff to the crews that made sure sidewalks and driveways were clear, to our Food & Nutrition team, Materials team, Environmental Services team, and to all of the medical staff that made sure community members in need of emergency services would have access to vital care during the storm, WE THANK YOU!

We also want to share our gratitude to the first responders and essential workers across our community who worked tirelessly through the storm to keep our communities as safe as they could be.

To all those who showed up when it mattered most, we thank you for your care, dedication, and selflessness!
