Did you know Medicare Advantage plans can delay patients from receiving necessary care and increase overall health care costs? Medicare Advantage plans are often promoted as being a lower cost option, but there can often be higher costs to both patients and hospitals.

The Medicare enrollment period is now through December 7th. Seniors need to know the facts before enrolling in or switching to a Medicare Advantage plan.

Please choose wisely. From our experience, as well as many of our other community healthcare partners find that Advantage plans will not contract services with us, nor will they cover services for their members, from us.

Did you know many seniors rely on insurance agents and brokers to help them choose a Medicare plan? However, unlike with Traditional Medicare, these agents are compensated by insurance companies to sign seniors up for Medicare Advantage plans and paid a recurring annual fee for each subsequent year the beneficiary remains in the plan.

Seniors should know, an agent may have incentive to sell you a plan even if it isn’t ideal for you.
