Yesterday marked a heartwarming milestone as the ISB department hosted their first Friendship Coffee since the end of 2019.

Over 35 friends gathered to reconnect and enjoy a delightful morning together. The event was filled with warmth and camaraderie as they were serenaded by the talented Charlene Nevitt on the piano, whose music added a special touch to the gathering.

Guests indulged in a delicious spread of punch, coffee, cookies, and fresh fruit, making for a perfect accompaniment to the lively conversations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event memorable.

🆗Now that the stress of tax season is passed:

Sit down with us and KSU River Valley Extension Family Resource Management Agent Monica Thayer to start planning for your or your loved one’s annual Medicare enrollment in the fall.

Seriously.

Medicare is complex and difficult to navigate—both for seniors and for health care providers.

We are developing an entire team to maximize its operation on our campus. This is not mere self-interest. This is safeguarding health care access and health care quality for beloved seniors.

Informed choice is the key. Seniors must educate themselves AND cooperate with their medical providers to optimize their plan selections. Too often and sometimes too late, we learn that seniors’ selections were made in a vacuum or steered by paid plan brokers and biased information.

RNs, CNAs, aides, and managers are checking-in and testing-in about procedures, products, reactions, responses, reporting, and more. It’s a lot, but there’s a good energy in the room. We love to learn because we love taking good care of you!
