Today we finished a special fall wall in our community. 🍁 Each resident’s name is on a leaf, and in the center is a sign that says, “Each leaf represents someone special.”

Just like the beautiful colors outside, our wall is full — a perfect reminder of how blessed we are to have the sweetest, kindest residents filling our days with joy. ❤️

Feeling grateful for every single leaf… and every single person who makes our community feel like home. 🍂✨

A huge thank you to the ladies of Unity Hospice for coming out and hosting our first-ever Eyeglass Clinic! 👓✨

They showed up fully prepared with everything—from tiny screws and nose pieces to all the tools needed for repairs. They even cleaned everyone’s glasses until they were sparkling like new!

This was our very first time offering an activity like this, and it was an absolute hit. Our residents, staff, and even visitors loved it. We’re so grateful for their kindness, skill, and the smiles they brought to our community. ❤️

We can’t wait to do it again!

🍁 Barnyard Boogie at PSOP was a HIT! 🕺💃
Charter Senior Living of Shiloh had an amazing time sponsoring today’s Barnyard Boogie dance at PSOP!

Seeing everyone laughing, dancing, and enjoying each other made the whole room feel like pure joy. 💛 From line dancing to partner swings, the energy was incredible!

And the best part? Everyone seemed to love the apple and cherry turnovers we brought! 🥐🍒🍎
We absolutely love being part of this community and sharing moments like these.

📅 Can’t wait to see you all again next week when you stop by Charter of Shiloh to pick up your pie! 🥧

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Celebration 🇺🇸

Today we had the honor of celebrating our Veterans here at Charter. We proudly recognized 10 of our residents who have served our country—each one a true hero in our community.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Herman Lopez, who served in both the Army and the Air Force for 23 years. His words of service and dedication inspired us all.

We’d also like to thank all the families, friends, and residents who joined us for this meaningful ceremony, and a heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff who helped make this day so special.

We are forever grateful to those who have served and continue to inspire us every day. ❤️💙

🍕 Outing Day Fun! 🍕
This week our residents enjoyed a delicious lunch at Joe’s Pizza in Fairview Heights! The food was amazing, and the company was even better. We laughed, shared stories, and to top it off—we even got a surprise discount through PSOP! What a wonderful day out with great friends and great food! ❤️

Every month here at Charter Senior Living, we celebrate a special theme — and this month’s is Autumn Enchantment. One of our favorite activities this month is called the Thankful Wheel. Each resident colors their wheel and writes what they’re thankful for.

When I was collecting the finished wheels, I received a wonderful surprise. One of our residents had written something titled “Treasured Memories.” It brought me to tears — happy tears. She told me that the classes we offer here help her with her memories, especially our Brain Health classes that we hold twice a week.

Moments like this remind us just how meaningful these activities truly are. We’re so thankful for our residents and the joy they bring into our community every day. Thank you Janet V. For letting me share your story!❤️🍂💛

Our Resident Council Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, and we encourage everyone to join in and make their voice heard! 🏡✨

🍂 Our residents enjoyed a beautiful fall outing to see the leaves changing colors! The scenery was breathtaking — the reds, oranges, and golds were absolutely stunning. 🌾🍁

And of course, no perfect day is complete without a sweet treat, so we stopped for ice cream along the way! 🍦

It was such a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, and the simple joys of autumn. ❤️
