ACRD and NOSSCR, two national powerhouses in Social Security law and representation, have joined forces to raise the bar, unify the profession, and build a future defined by equity, access, and excellence.

Together, we represent over 6,000 professionals advancing justice for individuals with disabilities across the country. This isn’t just a partnership, it’s a coordinated movement to strengthen the systems that millions depend on.

When clients depend on SNAP or WIC, even brief disruptions can have serious consequences. With the ongoing federal shutdown, both federal and state officials have warned that November benefits may be delayed or temporarily disrupted, creating uncertainty for many of the people we serve.

As representatives and attorneys, this is an important time to help claimants stay informed and connected to reliable assistance.

Here are three key steps to share with your clients:

1) Visit your state’s SNAP or WIC website for the latest updates on benefit timing.
2) Use FeedingAmerica.org/find-your-local-foodbank to locate nearby food banks and community programs.
3) Remind clients to keep EBT and WIC cards active and ensure contact information is current with local agencies.
