Brodie and I had a staff meeting tonight and we decided that The BookWorm will be closed tomorrow due to the extreme cold. He’s already snuggled in with a cozy blanket and hopes that everyone else will do the same!! Stay safe and stay warm!! Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

A message from the CEO of The BookWorm—

Brodie wants everyone to take the lead from him today. Stay home, stay warm, get a good nap and above all be safe!!! I agree with him but I might add read a book to his list!!
The store will be closed today. Can’t lie it’s very disappointing to miss small business Saturday but when it comes to the safety of our customers the decision is easy. Check back on our page later going to show a few pictures of new merchandise that came in yesterday. Stay safe everyone!!!

Busy day at the book store today. We got in books, Dune Jewelry(pictures to come later)and a fun shipment of jigsaw puzzles, 48 to 1000 pieces for all ages!! Just in time for the holidays!!

October 7th, a day full of gratitude, wonder and reflection. Today, not only would have been my Mom’s birthday but it also marks the 27th anniversary of The BookWorm! Where have the years gone? Owning a bookstore was never on my radar. I’m didn’t know what I was doing when I first opened and I still don’t! Some have said that’s the secret to success, don’t know if that’s true or not. But I do know that it has taken a LOT of work, dedication and long hours but the rewards are worthwhile. Customers who have become dear friends, the joy of seeing a child’s face light up when they find a book and of course the fact that I’ve been able to have my fur friends in the store with me. But truth be told none of this would be possible without the people who have helped at the store. You’ll have made the store what it is today and you helped to keep me relatively sane and last but not least the customers!!! Without your love and support we would have never made it to this big milestone!! Thank you everyone for 27 years!!
