For many parents in the Seattle and Bellevue area, the pitch count is the ultimate safety net. But the truth is, pitch counts are a lagging indicator. They tell you what happened, not how the body is actually holding up in real-time.

By the time a pitcher feels pain, they’ve likely been "red-lining" for weeks. We see it all the time: a pitcher stays well under their limit, but a Range of Motion (ROM) assessment shows deep fatigue.
