As we enter the holiday season, we are reminded of how meaningful family, connection, and shared moments truly are. Today felt like our own special “bring your kid to work day” as our Executive Director, Shawn Jervis, welcomed his son, Captain Paul Jervis of the United States Marine Corps. Captain Jervis shared his military story with our residents, offering education, inspiration, and heartfelt moments of togetherness. We are grateful for his time, his service, and the joy he brought to our community today.

This Veterans Day, we came together at The Watermark at Bellevue to honor the courageous heroes who have selflessly served our nation.

Throughout the week, our residents created “We Remember” banners adorned with poppies, symbols of hope, resilience, and remembrance.

In addition, we were honored to welcome Sharon McCaffrey, author of Dear Mom, Dear Dad, Love Jimmy, a deeply personal tribute to her brother, James McCaffrey. Sharon, wife of our Campus Food and Beverage Director, Mark Linden, shared letters James wrote during his service in Vietnam, preserving his reflections on courage, sacrifice, and the enduring bond of family. This dedication reading offered our community a heartfelt glimpse into a young soldier’s experiences during wartime and the power of remembrance.

Together, we came together as a community to reflect, support one another, and honor our veterans, both here at The Watermark and across the nation.

We’re still talking about how much fun our Halloween party was! From spooky carnival games to creative costumes, it was a night full of laughter and community spirit. A big congratulations to our costume contest winners, Thing 1 and Thing 2, who were voted on by our residents! Thanks to everyone who joined the fun and made the evening such a success.

When Jerry and Sandra Ostroff were looking to move to a senior living community, they knew they didn’t want to compromise on one thing.

“We all come from really nice, beautiful homes,” Sandra told The New York Times, “so we didn’t want to move to some place that wasn’t beautiful.”

It was only when Sandra visited her friend Eva Schulman, a member of our community, that the Ostroff’s knew they had found their home. Now, the friends enjoy being neighbors while taking advantage of all our luxurious amenities, including wine tastings, fine dining experiences, private fitness sessions, and more.

Prost! 🍻 It's time to raise our steins and celebrate Oktoberfest at The Watermark at Bellevue! We enjoyed a day filled with live polka music, a tasteful spread of gourmet traditional bites, and of course plenty of German beverages. It was a time well spent with loved ones!
