On Friday, we celebrated Halloween with a party filled with games, music, appetizers and desserts. Several employees dressed up and a couple of residents. We played poke a pumpkin and inside was either a trick or a treat. The residents' anticipation to see what was behind their pumpkin was exciting. Several of them received tricks and some received treats. Everyone received a bag of treats at the end of the celebration. They enjoyed shrimp cocktail, chips and dip, vegetables and dip, several different deserts and also some punch. It was an enjoyable event had by all that attended.

Our residents wanted to go to a pumpkin patch, so we searched and seemed to have found the perfect place at Burnham Orchards! They also have a store, bakery and events that take place daily. The residents had some frozen apple cider drinks, regular apple cider, apple fritters, and even homemade caramel apple cookies! Multiple items were for sale including homemade apple butter, jellies, baked goods, and, of course, apples and lots of pumpkins! It was a little breezy and cool outside, but the weather didn’t effect the time we shared and the memories we made. Everyone had a lot of fun!

Our residents at the Bellevue Care Center celebrated Breast Cancer Survivors on Friday. We celebrated with everything pink; the residents enjoyed strawberry cake, cookies, and pink lemonade!

Residents also talked about their journey with surviving breast cancer, along with their friends or family that may have had to go through a similar journey. Residents enjoyed the decorations, the bracelets, and the time reminiscing with each other. A great time had by everyone!

We celebrated Trick or Treat at Bellevue on Tuesday! Residents, guest, and staff enjoyed all the festivities and passing out candy to the trick or treaters. The residents, guests, and staff all had several family members attend as well and enjoyed a dessert bar along with punch!

Tables were also set up with arts and crafts for everyone to color, create, and make memories together. Residents enjoyed the arts and crafts their family members made for them, and they'll be displayed in their rooms to enjoy throughout the holidays!
