What an amazing weekend!
I was blessed to be a part of a very small class group that learned about hospice massage.
As many of you know, hospice work has been a part of my heart and while I had to step away from volunteering to handle life, I have been consistently pulled back to it. While I'm not going anywhere just yet ;) I have been anticipating the day that my body just won't allow full time massage anymore and wondering how I will proceed when that time comes.
Hospice work is so very important and fulfilling and I am grateful to have the opportunity to explore how that might fit into the future of my career.

And for those of you that have been asking, I will be adding a new modality to the menu this summer ;)

Happy Friday friends! Just a few scheduling notes.

I will not be teaching this summer so Tuesday and Thursday evenings are now opened back up until the August term starts!

May 19/20 out of the office for self care
July 10-15 out of the office for the big "50".

There will also be some random days in there that I will be blocking as I work on getting the shop updated that will be posted as they are decided.

The 5 yr anniversary event announcement is coming next week and keep an eye out for a very special family friendly event this summer!!

I know I teased this the other day but is officially official friends! The paperwork has been signed and Living Within Your Soul will remain at home on the Quartermasters Depot campus until at least 2028!
Today I signed a new 2 year lease and am incredibly excited for the changes coming!
A few things you can look forward to in 2026:

-Updated fresh look! (decluttering, retail space, and more!)
-New services (I am so very excited to share some new things!)
-Fresh Website
-Updated schedule
-Added amenities
-Retail! (Lotions and candles and rice packs OH MY!)

-5 year Anniversary & Grand Re- Opening Event in October!

I am so beyond blessed to get to do what I love and incredibly grateful for the patience and grace as I continue rebuilding from the past few traumatic years in my personal world.
Each one of you has made this journey more than worth it.

Happy Tuesday!
It's official! I recieved conformation from management that the shop lease will be renewed!
Now....how do we feel about a little refresh, upgrade and 5th Anniversary shin dig in October?

I also wanted to offer a moment of gratitude for the flexibility as I am working out the scheduling kinks with my teaching job. I appreciate you and hope to have things more stable just in time for the term to be over! lol

Happy Thursday friends.
I just wanted to drop in with some business updates!

~ In a whirlwind decision, I have accepted a teaching position at Omaha School of Massage Therapy that will begin the first week of March. While this is an amazing opportunity for me, it will impact my evening availability at the shop during the 6 week term. If you have currently scheduled appointments during that time, I have reached out to you about shifting those to other dates and I will also be opening up some additional times as needed.

~ Over the next couple of weeks, I will be doing some long overdue updates to the website as I move to simplify my services in an effort to offer each of you the highest quality care. There may be periods where the website is offline while I am working on it but I am excited for what is coming and appreciate your patience and understanding.

~Out calls. While I do not offer traditional out calls, I am actively working to develop relationships with companies that serve individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, older adults and kiddos with different needs to provide on-site care. If you have contacts in these areas, I would love to chat about networking!

~ Shop Hours. As I work to integrate some of these changes happening, you may see a shift in availability while I find what works best for me. If you are unable to find an appointment time that works for you, please reach out and I will work with you to find something that works!

2026 is proving to be an interesting year already and I am committed to listening to what the universe has in store for me and allowing the blessings to come.
I appreciate each of you and am so very grateful to get to do these things that I love!

Just a note!
I will be working "remote" tomorrow (Thursday 2/12).
The shop will be closed but I will be home working on the website and service menu update and likely watching the Olympics in my sweat pants because self care is important ;)

Good morning friends!

I have been a little persona non grata on the interwebs while I navigate some pretty gnarly personal life events. I'm hoping each of you had a peaceful holiday season and moved into the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and calm.

As we continue moving through 2026, I just wanted to give some updates on business, life and potential changes coming up for LWYS!

~First, just to alleviate some fears that have been brought to me, I am not going anywhere! :)
I chatter a lot about Minnesota and eventually living up there but nothing is concrete and for the time being, Nebraska is home.
In the next couple of years I will be looking to spend more time up north in my and eventually hold space in both states but for now, these are just future plans and I promise to be swift and forthcoming when/if those changes happen.

~ With the current state of the economy, I am committed to keeping my services affordable by pursuing other avenues to boost my income rather than raise my rates and place that burden on my clients. As I have spoken in the past about adding retail, with events in my personal life, I have not had the fortitude to put some of that in place. However, in 2026, things are moving quietly, albeit slowly in that direction behind the scenes. I have some really cool projects and items in the works and will be sharing those as they are ready.

~2026 is the 5 year anniversary of opening Living Within Your Soul. I don't really know how we have arrived at 5 years already, but it has been easily the scariest and most rewarding experience of my career and I am so blessed to have this little safe space to help my clients live their best lives! Once the new lease is confirmed and signed for Building 2, I will be releasing some new event and practice information so keep an eye out!

~Finally, I want to share my gratitude for all of the kindness and support as I have moved through these nearly five years of extreme life events. Compounded grief is a wild and tricky thing to navigate and while it has been downright messy some days, the steady support from my clients reminds how blessed I am to do what I do.

I will be out of the office beginning Tuesday, December 23 and returning on Friday, January 2. Online booking is open and Gift Card specials are running through December 24!
