Good morning friends!

I have been a little persona non grata on the interwebs while I navigate some pretty gnarly personal life events. I'm hoping each of you had a peaceful holiday season and moved into the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and calm.

As we continue moving through 2026, I just wanted to give some updates on business, life and potential changes coming up for LWYS!

~First, just to alleviate some fears that have been brought to me, I am not going anywhere! :)
I chatter a lot about Minnesota and eventually living up there but nothing is concrete and for the time being, Nebraska is home.
In the next couple of years I will be looking to spend more time up north in my and eventually hold space in both states but for now, these are just future plans and I promise to be swift and forthcoming when/if those changes happen.

~ With the current state of the economy, I am committed to keeping my services affordable by pursuing other avenues to boost my income rather than raise my rates and place that burden on my clients. As I have spoken in the past about adding retail, with events in my personal life, I have not had the fortitude to put some of that in place. However, in 2026, things are moving quietly, albeit slowly in that direction behind the scenes. I have some really cool projects and items in the works and will be sharing those as they are ready.

~2026 is the 5 year anniversary of opening Living Within Your Soul. I don't really know how we have arrived at 5 years already, but it has been easily the scariest and most rewarding experience of my career and I am so blessed to have this little safe space to help my clients live their best lives! Once the new lease is confirmed and signed for Building 2, I will be releasing some new event and practice information so keep an eye out!

~Finally, I want to share my gratitude for all of the kindness and support as I have moved through these nearly five years of extreme life events. Compounded grief is a wild and tricky thing to navigate and while it has been downright messy some days, the steady support from my clients reminds how blessed I am to do what I do.

Just a quick note about the holiday hours this year!
I will be out of the office beginning Tuesday, December 23 and returning on Friday, January 2. Online booking is open and Gift Card specials are running through December 24!

Friends, I need to apologize for the lack of communication and notice concerning the Bazaar event reschedule.

Unfortunately, I had to take a step back while dealing with some deeply personal issues over the past couple of weeks and neglected to mention that I would not be moving forward with the in-person event today.

I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the grace as I navigate all of these new normals in my life that have been impacting my day to day.

My current focus is taking it easy through the end of the year and getting through the holidays as this bitter beast grief continues to surprise me in it's vast reach and I focus on healing.

I will, however be putting gift card specials up before the weekend and they will run through December 24! :)

Again, thank you for your understanding and the love and support these past couple of years as I move through this seemingly never-ending journey.

Just a note!

I will be out of the office next Wednesday and Thursday, November 26/27 to spend time with my kiddos for the holiday. I will be in the office regular hours Tuesday and Friday and look forward to seeing everyone on the 29th for the Winter Wellness Bazaar!!

Wellness Wednesday:
I want to start with gratitude for allowing me the space to take a few days away last week. My time in Minnesota was everything I needed. For 72 hrs, I let go of the stress, existed, slept so many hours and spent time with some amazing chosen family. It renewed my spirit, and gave me a fresh start heading into the holiday season.
For that three days, I let go of the guilt of leaving everything behind. I did not stress about money, business, and set my grief aside as much as I was able to.
I have always been adamant about taking the body, mind and soul approach to wellness and while I haven't always been great at practicing what I preach, this trip in particular, reminded me why I do what I do and why it is so vitally important to take care of every part of our being.
As I have spent the last few days since coming home taking care of my physical being (because of course I came home and immediately got sick lol), I have allowed myself the space to do what I need to in order to heal.
Are you inclined to allow yourself the space to rest or do you tend to push through? How does that work out for you? What would happen if you said no to something because you just need a minute to rest? What would happen if you allowed yourself to shed the guilt of setting responsibilities aside for a moment to focus on you?

Today as I am wrapped up in my sweats sipping my hot tea, nursing this ick for the 3rd day, I am acutely aware of things that need to be accomplished in the next week and a half. I am also aware that if I don't allow my body to heal now, I may not be able to accomplish those things. So instead of making, I am working on labels and marketing and napping.

I am so excited for the Wellness Bazaar and can wait for you to see what I have put together to help you achieve your wellness goals!
Take care of you.
Body.
Mind.
Soul.
You deserve it and your soul will thank you!

🙏Wellness Wednesday🙏

First, I am overwhelmed and so blessed by all of the love and support since losing my Fiona unexpectedly last week. My new normal is strange and uncomfortable and painful. However, although I am starting yet another grief journey, the love that sweet meatball showed me over the past 4.5 years is immeasurable and I hold it so dear to my heart.

Maintaining our wellness during grief is something many of us are unfortunately all too familiar with. So how? How do we do it? How do we keep up with our wellness journey when we are handling big things? We do what we can. While I am usually the one offering kindness, grace and professional advice, it has been an adjustment to give myself the same grace I would give others.

Since Friday, the humans in my circle have offered me a safe space to cry and grieve and miss my girl. They have fed me, gotten me out of my house, hugged me, and just allowed me to feel the things I need to feel with no judgement. The same thing happened last year when my mother passed away. They stepped in and took care of me when I didn't have the capability to do somyself.

Sometimes wellness is allowing yourself to be served when the world is heavier than you can carry. It is humbling, and hard to do, and so very good for the soul. It is a difficult lesson to learn but the greatest thing that someone said to me after my mother passed was "This is the part where you let the people that love you, love you.". To be able to recognize that we do not have to carry the load alone allows us the space to process and heal from the big things is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.

Grief is not just death. It is losing a dream job due to budget cuts. Grief is a relationship ending. It is loss. I am currently working on a multi-episode series about navigating wellness during grief for the Get Your Soul Swole Podcast. Grief has delayed the launch. Grace has allowed me to not give up on it.

Wellness is a journey. Not a destination. If you are in a space where your personal wellness is being placed on the back burner, please know that I am holding space for you. I encourage you to do one small thing today. Take a few moments to journal, meditate, stretch something. That all contributes to the wellness. Last night, I kept a previous commitment that I had briefly considered cancelling after Fi passed. Instead, I chose to allow my friends to love me, feed me and soaked in some live music from my high school days.
Sometimes the bare minimum is wellness.
