Home care costs are only going to get more expensive. Please keep an eye out for SeaCare’s webinar series where we will be discussing and planning how to prepare for your home care years

Many of us envision our final days like my grandmother did, being comfortable at home surrounded by friends and family, writes Sarah Romanelli. What a lot of people don’t know is that dying at home can cost a small fortune.

As we approach the New Year (come on 2022, give us something good!), it's always good to reflect on what did and didn't work the last 12 months... Maybe it is just silly marker that doesn't mean anything, but the New Year gives us reason to step back and shift our perspective. 🤔

And maybe instead of making resolutions that punish ourselves for bad behavior, we can instead get in touch with what we really need in the coming year.

As caregivers, you don't need to put anymore pressure on yourself or your responsibilities.

Read our latest blog to start rethinking resolutions and approach them with greater kindness towards yourself. ☺️🌞❤

Last week we covered the purpose and benefits of leaving a legacy.

This week we dove into the different ways and timing of leaving a legacy, and how it can be a special gift for your family and friends.

As I read about leaving a legacy I’m learning about a wonderful vehicle that allows me to put my pearls of wisdom into a palatable form: a legacy letter.

It's Bingo's Birthday Month!! 🥳

Bingo arrived in North America in 1929, but Edward Lowe later modernized the game by hiring a mathematician to re-work the numbered game cards.

As the story goes, a Catholic priest later approached Lowe about playing bingo as part of a church fundraiser, and so began its relationship with churchgoers.

Whether you like bingo or not, consider playing a game this month with your caregiver or a member of your family to shake up your routine.

Our caregivers are great at keeping seniors engaged and active in their daily routines.

This can be a scary time of year to drive for anyone. There's:

Slick roads 🛣️
Limited daylight
More traffic 🚦

We wanted to highlight ways seniors can stay safe on the roads this winter, and how to know when it's time to hand over the keys.

Check out our latest blog for these safety tips 🦺

The darker seasons offer us all a chance to contemplate about our mortality and what we leave behind, which doesn't have to be a sad thing to think about. 🤔

Our latest blog dives into leaving behind a legacy, and how everyone's plan differs. Because what we dedicate our energy to in our lives varies widely, and that's a good thing.

Don't miss it!

I’ve been pleasantly surprised. What I’m learning is that legacy is actually very simple. Each of us, old or young, is already creating one.

Who is SeaCare In-Home Care Services?

SeaCare In-Home Care Services is dedicated to providing care, nourishment, and support for your loved ones. Brianna Bischofberger, the owner and founder of SeaCare In-Home Care Services has spent her entire professional career improving the lives and livelihoods of others. Brianna started SeaCare in order to help your family in the great state of Washington live fuller, richer lives, longer.

Her decade long experience in public health coupled with her time working with the nation’s leading homecare software has enabled her to develop a home care agency like no other. SeaCare will utilize the latest technologies and best practices, revolutionizing the way care is delivered.

Why Choose Us? What Makes Us Different?

SeaCare was born out of the need to do better for our loved ones and our community. The founder of SeaCare witnessed her grandmother receiving care that was subpar and knew the only way to make a lasting change to the homecare industry was to become the change she wanted to see.
