Welcome to our newest therapist, Jennifer Hutchinson, PsyD, LMHC! Here is some information about Jen's background and what she offers as a therapist:
Jen began studying psychology in 2002 during her undergraduate years. She received her MA in psychology in December 2014 and her PsyD doctorate in psychology in June 2021 from Antioch University in Seattle. She has worked as an inpatient and outpatient therapist since January 2012 across diverse settings. Jen is trained in a myriad of modalities and psychological interventions, but her foundational orientation is in existential psychotherapy, relational psychodynamics, and trauma informed care. She has a breadth and depth of training and experience working with clients with severe mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as with trauma survivors with specific focus on sexual abuse, and clients with eating disorders. Jen also has extensive experience working with individuals who have day-to-day concerns and with those who would like to explore who they are by building a relationship with themselves.
Her current clinical focus includes working with people from the ages of 13+ years, with special attention to helping adults of all ages explore their life experiences. This can include self-searching, navigating personal identity, questions of personal meaning and purpose, coping with anxiety or depression, LGBTQ+ issues, and helping you to examine the fabric of your life.
Jen can be reached at 360-504-8526 and at jen@newvisioncounseling.net.
