Lack of showing up authentically can lead to heightened anxiety, low self-confidence, stress, depression, self-doubt and emotional exhaustion.

🪴 We often hear people telling moms to “enjoy every moment,” which may be well intended, however, it’s an unrealistic expectation that puts pressure on moms. Motherhood has beautiful moments and also challenging seasons that are not too enjoyable. Wherever you find yourself today, you’re a good mom having a human experience 🫶🏽

🪴 A menudo escuchamos a la gente decirles a las mamás que “disfruten cada momento”. Aunque la intención puede ser buena, traza una expectativa poco realista que ejerce presión sobre ellas. La maternidad tiene momentos hermosos como también etapas desafiantes que no se disfrutan mucho. 🌿Motherhood can bring beautiful moments as much as moments when we lose our cool. Let me remind you that the kind of mom you are isn’t defined by the rough moments.

Remember to reframe your self-talk during the hard moments when the guilt is creeping in. Emotional repair is possible and our kids don’t need a perfect mom, they need a real mom that knows how to accept her humanity and imperfections.
