🪴 I had the opportunity to be interviewed at CBS LA to share ways that we can talk to our kids about the current situation. I was honored to be there to share some tips 🙏🏽

As a Latina therapist, mother, first gen and daughter of immigrants, I was deeply grateful and blessed to be there. Si se puede! My inner niña was proud to represent my community of moms and therapists of color while supporting parents during this chaotic time.

🌿Motherhood can bring beautiful moments as much as moments when we lose our cool. Let me remind you that the kind of mom you are isn’t defined by the rough moments.

Remember to reframe your self-talk during the hard moments when the guilt is creeping in. Emotional repair is possible and our kids don’t need a perfect mom, they need a real mom that knows how to accept her humanity and imperfections.

La maternidad está llena de altibajos; algunos días nos sentimos plenas, otros simplemente sobrevivimos. Está bien si no disfrutas de cada momento. Las buenas madres pueden amar ser madres y, al mismo tiempo, no disfrutar de cada segundo de la maternidad.
