THE LYNDEN SATURDAY MORNING POST: Bargains in the Barn Edition
Red Barn Market Events Holiday Sale continues today at the The Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $5 tickets at the door OR a full size and sealed food item for New Way Ministries. Reports from yesterday indicate wonderful products and as usual, wallet friendly prices, especially the delicious Grant's Honey, at least from what we are told, so those fans of bee juice are in for an exceptional treat!
FYI, we posted a photo from the Red Barn Markets page, so photo credit to somebody, but not us
+ Coconut Kenny's pizza and sandwich kind of night. Pizza wise, we're fans of the Big Kahuna and Mac Attack, and in the sandwich division the King Mahalo and the Northshore are two standouts for us, you mileage may vary. Dine in, take out, and the drive up window makes it easy to bring the goodness home!
+ Those that need to are still looking for a buyer for the former freeze-dried pet food site west of Lynden Door Inc., at the corner of Berthusen and West Main. For those unaware, the property cost now is the land plus a concrete base that is literally built for a freezer, and subsequently is as thick Grandma's brownies the time she used a 9 x 13 recipe in an 8 x 8 pan.
At least with a gallon of milk one could get those huge but tasty brownies down, that concrete bas isn't going anywhere.
+ Speaking of Lynden Door Inc., all indications are they will be having a pretty cool entry into the THE OFFICIAL 2025 NORTHWEST LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE presented by North Pacific Concrete Pumping. We can't say what it exactly is, but Lighted Parade attendees will be grateful to presenting sponsor North Pacific Concrete Pumping Inc., as well as supporting sponsors Banner Bank, Cascade Compost & Soil, Curt Maberry Farm, Fairway Center Lynden, Farmers Equipment Company, Lynden, Inc, Silverado Bellingham Memory Care Community The Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center, Puget Sound Energy, Westside Building Supply, WRS and of course the City of Lynden!
+ We need a few more barricade monitors for the Lighted Parade, which basically means parking your car right by a barricade, having a front row seat, and telling others who try to block the street "No, sorry, but no", while enjoying the sweet sounds of your car heater fan on high, staying cozy warm while enjoying the Kickoff to Christmas! Give Ms. Sheila ring at the office to sign up or for more details!
That a full tank for a Saturday, so God bless, please Shop Lynden and like that young gentleman's honey at the Market, YOU are loved!
