Essential Lactation Infant feeding and lactation support and education in Whatcom and Skagit Counties Lactation and infant feeding support. You deserve it.

The decision to breastfeed/chestfeed your baby is one of the most important choices you will make as a parent. We recognize the commitment many parents make to offer this essential nutrition to their babies. We also know that breastfeeding/chestfeeding can be very challenging. This combination of commitment and challenge can create a great deal of stress in the early days and weeks postpartum. We offer gentle, non-judgmental, and compassionate care that helps you gain confidence while feeding your baby. Individualized, and comprehensive plans help you understand and encourage you to trust your body and your baby, as you learn your breastfeeding/chestfeeding dance together. We believe it is never too early or too late to get support.

You’ve asked for more about sleep and we’re answering!

Starting on September 17th Heron and I are hosting a facilitated sleep support group. Join us once a month for an open conversation about your family’s sleep.

This is a safe space to bring your questions, challenges, and to share your wins with other parents like you!

Details:
- 119 N Commercial Suite #280
- 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12-1:30pm
- sharing starts at 12:15 so come early to check in and get comfy!

What to expect:
- Peer support
- General sleep Q&A
- Education about normal sleep based on age and family situation
- Connection
- The occasional guest speaker!

Cost:
By donation. Suggested amount $0-$20 based on your current financial ability to contribute. No questions asked, no one turned away! Community support is vital for all of us regardless of income. Funds go towards rent of our space and time, snacks for group, and guest speakers.

Our Prenatal Essentials class just finished for the month of June and it was such a good one!

That means our next class will be here before we know it! We’ll be offering the next class in August. You can join our class any time during your pregnancy. We’ll cover everything you need to know in the first four months postpartum. This includes lots of sleep discussion, infant development, bonding, how to prepare yourself and your space, and even those questions you might be afraid to ask anyone else. We love this interactive class and your curiosity.
