LIBC OPERATIONS UPDATE – FRIDAY 12/12

LIBC will follow the same operations plan as today:
• LIBC: Closed
• Lummi Nation School (LNS): Closed
• Early Learning / JOM: Closed
• Lummi Health Clinic & Fitness Center: Open 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• CARE: Open 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Commods: Open at 12:30 PM
• Behavioral Health: All in-person visits will be conducted via tele-health

Payroll: Checks will be available for pickup at LIBC from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

Please continue to use caution when traveling and monitor official Lummi communications for updates. Stay safe.

Today was our first Rooted in Recipes class with Horizon Middle School's Native American Advisory class. This class was requested by the students and was coordinated by HMS' Native American Liaison, Brandi. In this class we made stuffed apples (with snickers salad) and baked apples (with fall seasonings). The kids made extra to hand out to their teachers and take home. Also, the students were able to complete an obstacle course with the impairment goggles during their breaks to emphasize how alcohol affects your body and reaction time.
This class is a collaboration between Lummi Commods, Lummi Counseling Services prevention, and Horizon Middle School.
