Last week Unity Care NW joined Community Health Center staff from around the state to meet with lawmakers and advocate for our patients and the health care safety net that so many Washingtonians rely on.

We were there to make sure health care is available to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. We advocated for affordable prescription medications, essential medical services, and continued support for people who are uninsured, underinsured, or enrolled in Apple Health.

After six years of dedicated service, Unity Care NW announces that CEO Jodi Joyce will retire later this year.

Jodi joined Unity Care NW just one month before the COVID-19 pandemic began and has led the organization through one of the most challenging and transformative periods in health care. Her leadership has brought stability, compassion, and a model of unwavering commitment to Unity Care NW — her legacy will continue to shape Unity Care NW for years to come.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program is a critical support for community health centers across Washington. Proposed changes to the Medicaid pharmacy benefit put this program — and patient access to care — at risk.
