Coronavirus Response
Whew! What a roller coaster of a ride we've been in these last few months. I hope this finds you well. I know these times have been hard for all of us and I acknowledge that it's been harder on some of us than others. I wanted to give you an update on when we're hoping to reopen and what that looks like when we do.
I'm hoping to reopen June 25th. I'm checking in with the Department of Health (DOH) as they are the ones to determine when I can legally reopen. My opening on the 25th is dependent upon the approval of the DOH. Obviously if we're not given the ok for a total reopen then we cannot legally reopen. But for now we are booking appointments starting the 25th. And if this changes then I will notify you if you've made an appointment. Feel free to call with any questions: 360.223.0001
Here's what's changed and how I'm working to keep you and me safe:
-We will have to be tweaking our appointments a bit as a result of COVID-19. If you have questions or concerns about these changes please feel free to reach out to us. 360.223.0001 or OneBodyMassageBellingham@gmail.com
-We have increased the time in-between each appointment to give us ample time to clean and disinfect. Between each appointment we will clean with disinfectant surfaces touched by the patient and the therapist. This includes: the massage table's face cradle, chairs, massage table bolsters, bathrooms, door and door handles. And of course I will be washing my hands before I enter the room to work on you.
-If you have ANY symptoms of illness, please cancel your appointment. I have waived the late cancel fee for cancelling due to illness. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks, please cancel your appointment. I will be adhering to these same standards in regards to working with you.
-Please wear a mask to your appointment. If you don't have one I will provide you one upon arriving. You will be asked to wear it while you're face up and then remove it when you're face down. I will be putting a cloth under the face cradle for added protection. I know it's not ideal but it's what we are being required to do by the Department of Health.
-When you come in for your appointment, we will ask you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer and will take your temperature with a touchless thermometer. If your temperature is 100.4 or higher, we will need to reschedule. We will also have a new release form for you to sign. This form basically says that you understand there's an increased risk associated with massage and disease transmission especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
-I will ask that you either pay by card online prior to your appointment, or I will provide you with individual envelopes to put cash or check in. These envelopes I will only touch with gloves.
-Unfortunately I can't use the comfy blanket on the massage table. In lieu of the comfy blanket I will be doubling up on sheets to keep you comfortable, but feel free to bring your own blanket from home as well.
-I will be wearing masks and adhering to all the requirements I'm asking of you as well as sanitizing all surfaces between massages. I will also have a air filter in the room to help with purifying the air.
-At this point online booking is available starting the 25th. I am limiting the number of people I'm seeing as well as spacing out the appointments.
-You will receive a phone call from me a day before your massage. The reason for this being that I want a chance to be able to talk to each of you first before you come in. This will give me a chance to do a COVID-19 screening with you and answer any questions you have.
