RE: CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

Per WHO, distinguishing COVID-19 from other virus/allergies: you will have fever, dry cough, aches and pains and some will have difficulty breathing

DO NOT COME INTO THE OFFICE IF YOU HAVE OR RECENTLY HAD SYMPTOMS OF FEVER, DRY COUGH, BODY ACHES AND PAINS OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING.

I am disinfecting tables between each patient, using hand sanitizer or washing hands before and after each patient contact, disinfecting doorknobs and couch throughout the day, and continuously run the HEPA air filter.

Should I become symptomatic, the office will close for 14 days or until I test negative for COVID-19.

I wrote this for our local community paper. I was hearing media and M.D. experts reporting that, to fix the opioid problem, we need to use yet more drugs. I had not heard how to manage pain without taking opioids in the first place.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta said that the crisis mostly stems from “overprescribing," noting that, though America has only 5% of the world’s population, it accounts for 80% of the world’s opioid usage.
