I am a personal trainer who is 53 and post menopause. If you were to ask me what 2 pieces of equipment I wouldnβt live without in my post menopause fitness life, it would be a mini trampoline and a kettlebell.
Why those you ask?
Our cardio workouts are a much smaller part of our fitness routine as we go through menopause. Long cardio sessions should no longer be the focus! Lifting by using a kettlebell and your own body weight is a great way to ignite muscle growth and hold bone mass. The rebounder has so many great benefits beyond cardio! It can be used as an instability platform for balance exercises. (Balance needs to be challenged as we age) It helps flush your lymphatic system. It gives the heart an efficient kick butt cardio workout in a far shorter duration without high impact challenges. I could say so much more as the benefits are many! Combining these two powerhouse fitness tools into a strength workout with cardio benefit is absolutely a winning combination!
Curious what your menopause workout should look like? I do virtual personal training and can help you redefine how you think about fitness in this new exciting phase of your life! Staying strong, mobile and sharp are all a benefit of the right kind of workout. Stop guessing and letβs start getting results together!
